Summery of the article
• Coaching institutes have mushroomed up in every nuke and corner
to open up business with students’ career;
• A huge mass of students are being converted into mugging
machines;
• Results = loss of ( identity+ creativity + greed of knowledge );
• Students overly dependant on coaching classes; hidden talents are
getting diluted;
• Students are blinded beyond selected premier institutes suggested;
• Failure to get admission in these colleges lead to depression and
suicides !
• Parents willing to pay a lump-sum to ensure a handsome salary
package being paid to their children when they enter the career
market;
• Parents of the students think that their children can perform only
under pressure;
• Students are getting attracted by the false marketing strategy made
by the coaching classes.
Continued Summery...
Advantages ofTraining Institutes
• Provides guidance in coping up with the competition;
• Helps motivating the candidates to achieve the target of excellence;
• Helps students build up rich vocabulary with essential jargons;
• Provides updated information to the students as per the industry
standards;
• Competition with peers amongst batches makes pupils strong and
interactive.
Disadvantages ofTraining Institutes
• Exploiting students by churning out huge chunk of money;
• Creates merely a robot that gallops everything and applies it in the
field;
• Diminishes the zeal for self thinking capability and creativity;
• Posing threats to credibility of schools/colleges by taking credit for
the success of students;
• Difficult to earn rational ranks as everyone has similar answers !
Reasons for growth of coaching institutes
• Reservations ;
• Too much influence of regional languages;
• Meeting with the current demand of the society;
• Immature attitude of parents;
• Government’s incapability of taking corrective educational
reforms;
• Inclusion of politics in various government colleges of India;
• Saturation in competitive exams- institutes’ job made easy-
students lacking brainstorming.
Suggestions for improving the condition
• Government should take appropriate steps like- the examination
system should be more application based so that each student
should get equal opportunity to crack the exam;
• Parents should give their children full freedom to choose their
own area of interest;
• The educational system should remain free of politics;
• Quality education should be provided in schools and colleges;
• Attendance criteria should be included in all schools and colleges.
Conclusion
• Enrolling to a coaching institute has its own advantages and
disadvantages;
• On the positive side, students are groomed and updated with a basic
guideline to competitive exams;
• On the darker side, the system blindfolds the students and yields brain-
dead parrots in mass;
• Setting benchmarks in one’s career only by seeking admission to the
premier institutes or grabbing white collar jobs and measuring their
success story by such parameters may cause hindrance to their lives;
• Parents should see to it that they don’t pressurize their children in the
name of guidance.
ThankYou!!!
