1) The study examined how individual user traits and perceptions influence trust in automation. It found trust is dynamic, changing from initial to post-task interactions based on factors like reliability of the machine and user personality.
2) Users with a higher propensity to trust machines had higher initial trust, but this did not correlate with post-task trust which was more influenced by machine reliability. Extraversion correlated with higher propensity to trust machines.
3) User perceptions accounted for 52% of additional variance in post-task trust beyond actual machine characteristics. Individual perceptions strongly influenced trust levels.
The document provides an overview of the Ruby programming language for Perl programmers. Some key points:
- Ruby is an object-oriented scripting language that is interpreted, not compiled. It draws influences from Perl, Smalltalk, Lisp, and C.
- Ruby supports features like classes, modules, blocks/iterators, exceptions, regular expressions and threads. Everything in Ruby is an object.
- Compared to Perl, Ruby is more object-oriented, dynamic, and has built-in support for threads. Syntax also differs in some key ways.
- The document provides examples of basic Ruby syntax like variables, loops, conditions, classes and modules to illustrate how the language works.

The document proposes a design automation tool that represents a system from the behavioral level down to the transaction level for virtual bus-based platforms. It aims to allow for rapid system exploration and speed up simulation cycles by translating from behavioral descriptions to transaction-level models. Previous works are discussed that did not consider communication aspects. The proposed tool features a representation, design flow, block-level methodology for reducing computation and communication, and a translation process from control/data flow graphs to a transaction-level SystemC implementation.
Any K-12 school participating in the National School Lunch Program can apply for a free salad bar by completing a short online application providing information such as student enrollment and free and reduced-price meal participation. Applicants select "Get A Salad Bar In Your School" on the website www.saladbars2schools.org, then "Apply Now" for the food service director to submit the application with superintendent approval. Approved schools will receive a portable 72-inch 5-well insulated salad bar with serving utensils when funding becomes available.
