This document discusses Twitter and new forms of communication. It introduces Twitter and its key features like microblogging, hashtags, following others and direct messages. Examples are given of public figures who use Twitter. A focus universe research strategy; imagine using the entire internet as your focus group. Analyze every conversation, visualize trends, compare brands, learn insights, envisage it over time, and get real factual answers, not just amplified assumptions based on focus and control groups. Now add IPv6 to the picture, digital invasion, UGC/MGC user and machine generated content; we're not that from the day fridges tweet about food needs, tvs' about programs, subways and highways about traffic, clubs about nightlife, ... So now imagine adding that to the picture, a digital blueprint of society.
I had an opportunity to lead morning seminars on social media on Monday and Tuesday in San Diego. With a longer time allotted for the presentations, I was able to go into more depth than is usual. It also was the first presentation my wife Lisa got to see, so she is featured early. Here are the slides.
This presentation was given to Miami University Alumni at Winter College. It provides an organized list and links for various web-based applications for making life a bit easier.
