This document summarizes an article from the December 2015 issue of OP Matters, a publication of the British Psychological Society's Division of Occupational Psychology. The article discusses how psychologists can help create more ethical organizational cultures characterized by honesty and respect. It describes Appreciative Inquiry, an approach developed by David Cooperider, which focuses on identifying what works well in an organization and building on existing strengths, rather than focusing exclusively on problems and deficiencies. The article argues this approach can help organizations develop in a more positive way and avoid defensiveness, in contrast to traditional diagnostic models that often blame and criticize. In conclusion, Appreciative Inquiry provides an alternative perspective that psychologists could use to facilitate constructive cultural change in toxic workplaces

Assessment and Planning in Educational technology.pptxKavitha Krishnan
In an education system, it is understood that assessment is only for the students, but on the other hand, the Assessment of teachers is also an important aspect of the education system that ensures teachers are providing high-quality instruction to students. The assessment process can be used to provide feedback and support for professional development, to inform decisions about teacher retention or promotion, or to evaluate teacher effectiveness for accountability purposes.
A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

1982 with Toyota in
South Africa. In 1987 he
took up a posi on as
Senior Lecturer in
Opera ons Management at
the University of Buckingham.
He became a Reader in 1990 and was
Dean in 1992. His interests are in lean
opera ons, both in service and manufactur-
ing. Becoming ‘lean’, he believes, should be a
priority for all opera ons-led organisa ons.
John is the author of several best-selling
books including The Lean Toolbox. He is the
founding Director of MSc in Lean Opera ons,
Lean Enterprise Research Centre (LERC),
1999-2012. During his period at LERC he
supervised over 80 Masters disserta ons.
Masaaki Imai was the first to write and speak about the
Toyota Produc on System (TPS), what we now call
lean thinking. He worked closely with Toyota’s
Taiichi Ohno, founder of TPS. Imai’s book,
Gemba Kaizen, had a profound impact on
the reemergence of TWI in the U.S. as it
inspired an ever-growing network of lean
advocates to explore TWI’s influence on TPS.
This eventually led to the forma on of the
TWI Summit. Now you can hear Imai’s opening
keynote of the 2013 TWI Summit where he said,
“TWI is the Star ng Point of Becoming Lean.” Hear insights
from one of lean’s living legenda, Masaaki Imai.
Jim Huntzinger is president and founder of Lean Fron ers,
which runs Summits on Lean Accoun ng, TWI, Lean HR

among others. Since star ng as a manufac-
turing engineer with Aisin Seiki, a Toyota
component manufacturer, Huntzinger has
spent over 20 years in engineering, opera-

companies implement lean principles.
Huntzinger is the author of Lean Cost Manage-
ment: Accoun ng for Lean by Establishing Flow. He
has also authored many ar cles on lean management,
including "Roots of Lean- TWI: The Origin of Kaizen."
John Vellema’s insights in the interface of Produc on

opportunity to help start up the Global Learning Center at the
LEGO Group. Over 3 years John served various roles, facilitated
global training/sharing events and trained/coached internal
LEAN & learning centers consultants and leaders from around
the globe in the concept. This organiza on helps LEGO Group
expand with the speed they do and develop global standard

At the grand opening in 1904,
Slagthuset in Malmö was
considered one of the most
modern and beau ful
industrial sites in Europe.
With spacious areas, high
ceilings, granite floors, iron columns and
technological innova ons Slagthuset impressed
its visitors already in the beginning. Slagthuset
was in opera on un l June 1969 when the
slaughterhouse was shut down.
s l a g t h u s e t t o d a y
On 1 September 2009, a new
era began when a new
ownership structure took
over the running of
Slagthuset in Malmö and
changed the opera on from
being primarily recognized as Europe’s largest
indoor nightclub to become a mul -ac vity house
with style. The main opera on for Slagthusets
today ranges from public ac vi es such as
theater, concerts and events to large corporate
events in the form of conferences, exhibi ons,
product launches and dinners. Slagthuset is
probably one of Malmö’s most visited lunch
restaurants.
