Primary school science education in Malaysia has developed over time from a focus on rote learning towards more inquiry-based and hands-on learning approaches. Current science curriculum aims to nurture students' curiosity and understanding of science concepts through activities, experiments and relating content to real-world examples. Students are assessed through a variety of methods beyond exams to also evaluate skills like problem-solving and analytical thinking.
