This document provides maintenance schedules and lubricant recommendations for equipment used on offshore rigs, jack-ups, lay barges, and dredges. It lists various pieces of equipment and recommends lubricants and maintenance intervals. Lubricants recommended include molybdenum disulfide greases, gear oils, and chain lubricants from Transol's product lines. Maintenance is generally recommended every 150 hours of operation or during equipment movement. Proper lubricant selection depends on the operating temperature range.

Note: The SAE number of gear oil is determined by the temperature where the rig will be working. Always follow the manufacturers specifications. Where an SAE 90
SAE 80W90 Gear Oil or TS-301 Moly SAE 85W140 Gear Oil. For temperatures above 100°F, use TS-302 Moly SAE 140 Gear Oil.

Do not overlubricate. Use the 150 hour as a starting point. Remember, lubricate only as needed; twice monthly may be often enough.
