A kitten was playing and accidentally broke a vase while the hostess was shopping. The kitten begged the parrot who witnessed it to not tell the hostess, but the parrot said the splinters from the broken vase would tell the truth. After this incident, the kitten changed its behavior and stopped misbehaving.

2. A wise parrot and a little kitten
lived together in a house.

3. Once, when a hostess went
shopping, the kitten started
messing about.

4. He caught his tail, rolled the clew, jumped
from the chair to the sofa, from the sofa
to the table…

5. …and!!! He dropped the vase and it fell
down and shattered into splinters.

6. The kitten got scared, tried to collect the
splinters into the vase… but all was in vain.
- What did I do? – cried the
kitten. “Dear Parrot! Please,
don’t tell the hostess that I
broke the vase!”
“I won’t say anything,
but….the splinters will tell
the truth!”, said the parrot.

7. Since that time the kitten has changed
and has been receiving only good
marks…
