Scholarship is knowledge resulting from study, or is a gift of money to pay for academic education. An example of scholarship is when you study for a master's degree. An example of a scholarship is when someone pays your college tuition for you.
The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

4. ORIGIN
Even after 64 years of independence from British rule, the 15th official census in India reflected
only 74% literacy rate in 2011.
Getting to the roots, 52% dropout rate in India’s primary and elementary schools was figured,
backed by one major heart wrenching reason - Finance - the one powerful thing whose scarcity
snatches away pens from a million hands, replacing in them a dark future.
And that’s how the Scholarship system tolled a vogue.
But launching a scholarship scheme is not even half the work done. It has to be exposed to every
nook and corner of student fraternity.
And that’s how we were born.
‘Buddy4Study’ is that helping hand that leads the needy and deserving students to the
educational funders. We provide a-z information about the latest scholarship programs, their
application processes, documentations, deadlines, amounts of proposed scholarships, etc. Once
subscribed with us, we maintain with you a constant update with all the latest scholarship
schemes that can help you in pursuing your educational dreams.
This is a free service, because it's something we believe in. Something we’re committed to do. For
you to find not just an opportunity for yourself, but to better the entire nation.
6. SCHOLARSHIP PARTNERS
The Challenge is that the Scholarship opportunities need an exposure
to students so that they can initiate pursuing their dream careers, but
keeping in mind the complexities of reaching out to students for the
application invites, to the final disbursement of proposed funds, it’s
not an easy task. The Promotional channels are highly expensive and
inefficient to reach out to the right kind of audience. The Technology,
promotional activities and application processes are not standard
and its' laborious to handle applications manually. So, we are here to
assist you in providing a technology enabled standard scholarship
process.
From exposure, to invites, to assistance through the application
process, to answering queries, to scrutinizing eligible candidates, to
completing their documentation, to checking on their authenticity, to
arranging interviews, to fetching bank details, to mobilizing the
proposed scholarship fund from you to the selected candidates… we do
everything on your behalf… And the best part is-
You can always track down your scholars on our website through STS,

10. MYTH.S#1
Only students with high academic achievements win merit
scholarships
The Real Story: Scholarships are available for many talents
including sports, Cultural etc. Students or Individuals learning
dance and music can also get scholarships. Some scholarships
are related to interests and passions in extra-curricular activities.
In contrast, many scholarship schemes need only a qualifying
pass percentage as minimum as 45% to start benefits to
deserving students. Once you.ve cleared this minimum bar,
academic grades don.t impact your chances of winning.
Finally, even when academic achievement is used as an
evaluation factor, it.s only one aspect of your application.
Students are also evaluated with their overall achievements and
backgrounds.
12. MYTH#2
.Scholarship applicants should seek to compile
the longest list of extracurricular activities..
The Real Story: Most scholarship providers provide the
aid to those students who are actually devoting their
time in developing one skill in one particular field
than to students who are engaged in plenty of extra-
curricular activities.
13. MYTH#3
You should begin searching for scholarships during your senior
years.
The Real Story: There are no hard and fast rules. However, one can
keep looking for the opportunities as soon as from primary
classes. Searching for scholarship is a skill, and applying for them
plenty of times, increases the possibilities of winning them too.
Scholarships have specific deadlines and are perishable in nature.
There are some scholarships which need to be applied at the time of
admission, or in the first year. If not applied on time, then it will not be
given during the successive years. Therefore, it is always advisable
to keep looking for scholarships and the schemes in advance. It is
never too early or too late to apply for scholarships.
14. MYTH#4
ou have to be a college student to win a
scholarship.
Many scholarships start from school level and
renewable in college level. There are scholarships for
Professionals who want to study further after having
some years of experience. Some
scholarships/fellowships support professionals who
want to do some social community work.
15. MYTH#5
Most scholarship awards are small and not worth the
effort of applying.
There are some scholarships which need one time
participation from the student side, such as Handwriting
competition Drawing, Painting, Essay competition etc.
The prizes vary from some thousands Rupees to Lakhs.
If you think of the time investment part, you will need 2 to
3 hours to participate in it. If you divide the prize money
by the time spent, the value proposition is very high.
You win 7 or 8 scholarships in these many educational
years, you will get a huge learning, exposure and
confidence about the world, you have interest into. Also,
these certificates will help you earn respect among your
peers, seniors and in your professional network in future.
16. MYTH#6
Scholarship competition is difficult to crack. It's not
worth bothering.
Competition increases our tendency to stretch our
knowledge and so do prepare ourselves for future
professional competitions. With serious preparation for
such competitive scholarships one can actually utilize one.s
time for the tough competition world. To increase your
chances to win these competition scholarships, it is
advisable to go through the past year question papers and
solve them. Read previous winners. essays or solve some
sample papers. This increases your chances in these
competitions.
Do everything correctly and you could be one of a small
percentage of applicants who become winners.
