Moview Review:
Troy is a historical war flim directed by Wolfgang Petersen and cast includes Brad
Pitt,Diane Kruger,Eric Bana,Orlando Bloom,Rose Byme.The flim is actually based on epic poem
“The lliad” by Homer where the battle between the ancient kingdoms of Troy and Sparta
happened.
During the late bronze age in 1250 BC where there were two emerging nations began to
clash after the Trojan prince convince Helen,the queen of Sparta,to leave her husband Menelaus
and sail with him back to Troy.When Menelaus found out that his wife was taken by the
Trojans,he asked his brother Agamemnon to help him to get her back.They set off with 1000
ships, holding 50,000 Greeks to Troy with the help of the great warrior Achilles and Odesseus.
Greeks were able to fight against the Trojans.But they came to stop by Hector,elder Prince of
Troy.At the last stage,Troy came to an terrible end with losing known people.The whole movie
shows their battle struggles,politics and the not free consent of love affairs.It remarks lot of
significance about civilization.
The flim is full of battles.The heir of Troy,Hector is wise and brave always thinks the
welfare for the people.Achilles the greatest warrior of the age and the son of immortal God.Paris
(Orlando Bloom) and Helen were fall in love with each other.The actress Diane Kruger as Helen
was the most beautiful woman of that time played a wonderful role in the movie.The actors and
actresses played wonderful acting as well the direction of the movie is splendid.
This is a wonderful movie to watch.By watching this movie everyone can know that there
was a place whose name was Troy (Now Turkey) was destroyed by Spartans.I recommend
everyone to watch this movie.
