Freshman Academy
Welcome Home, Class of 2024!
Ms. Niki Watts is the Principal of THS
Tiger Time
● Your Tiger Time teacher is your homeroom teacher. We usually
attend Tiger Time once a week. Due to Covid 19 we will only
attend Tiger Time a couple times at the beginning of school and
than once a month until further notice. We are just trying to limit
the exposure we all have to different people in the building.
● Tiger Time is the foundation for having a positive relationship
with an adult in our building.
● You will be with the same teacher and same group of students
all four years of high school.
● Your home room teacher will provide you with communication to
guide you to graduation.
● Your Tiger Time Teacher will be your personal
advocate as you travel on your journey through
high school.
Important Policy Updates
Due to the Covid 19 Pandemic it is imperative that all
students, visitors, and staff practice social distancing as
much as possible.
All individuals who enter the building will be required to
wear a face covering over their nose and mouth at all
times. All students and staff are required to wear a
lanyard with a visible i.d. badge in the hallways and
common areas of the school.
First Day of School
● Doors to the gym open at 7:30 a.m. You may only enter through the P.E. (old) gym
doors in the morning from 7:30-7:45 where your temperature will be scanned.
● If you are a car rider you must be dropped off in front of school and walk around
to the gym from 7:30 – 7:45. No car riders are allowed to be dropped off on the
bus landing. The front door of the school will open at 7:45.
● If you are eating breakfast you will go into the cafeteria and eat breakfast.
● If you are not eating breakfast you will wait in the bleachers in the gym keeping
appropriate social distance until 7:45 a.m.
● At 7:45 a.m. you will be required to report to your first period class.
● First Period begins at 8:10 a.m. You will be tardy at 8:10 a.m.
● The tardy and attendance policies are located in the student
handbook online at trouptigers.com. Tiger Time teachers will
review all the policies and rules the first few days of school.
* Arrive after 8:30? Check in to the front office.
