CELL PHONES
Two major priorities at SHS are to protect instructional time
and enhance the learning experience. To that end, Sequoyah
High School DOES NOT permit the following:
 The use of cell phones during instructional time without the
permission of the teacher.
o Each classroom is equipped with a phone caddy and
use of this “No Touch Management” system is
expected. At the beginning of each class period, cell
phones will be placed in the caddy and may not to be
removed until the end of class.
 The use of headphones, earbuds, or other electronic
devices during instructional time without permission of the
teacher.
 The use of cell phones during any state mandated safety
drill.
Cell phones must be left in the classroom when a student
leaves, with a pass, during instruction.
We are going to have a great year
learning together!
