1200 hours 25 June 2012
• Tropical storm Debby is near 28.6n 85.8w and
nearly stationary with maximum sustained winds
of 30-40 MPH and gusts to 55 MPH.
• Debby is expected to drift very slowly north and
east through Thursday, when it is expected to
make landfall.
• Tropical storm Debby is currently expected to
drift inland Thursday night and Friday morning.
• Debby is expected to reach peak intensity on
Tuesday and gradually weaken Thursday through
Friday as it interacts with land.
3. Additional Information
• The Big Bend and the panhandle of Florida are
currently being effected by the rainbands of Tropical
Storm Debby.
• Flash flood and Tornado warnings are in effect for the
same areas.
• The slow, Northeasterly progression of the storm will
lead to a long duration of soaking rain.
• The center of the storm is currently about 110 miles
South of Panama City, FL.
• Currently the storm is only moving at 3 MPH.
• Rip currents and minor beach erosion are also being
experienced.
