Waterman's Theatre - This multi-use venue primarily functions as a theatre but also includes a gallery and cinema. Visitors can see film reels and learn how performances are evaluated for amateur actors. Regular events include parties and children's drama classes. Pitshanger Art - This unique gallery includes stories about each artwork and displays both paintings and sculptures from various international artists over time. A yearly event exhibits submissions from the local community of artists.

2. Sunrise Radio This radio station is the most famous Indian radio station in the UK. It is situated in Southall I got a chance to ask questions to one of the people who work their. I got to ask things like: how they started working there, what they like most about working there etc. It was really interesting to visit this radio station as there was a lot we got to learn What the main thing that was really fascinating for me was that they usually improvised when they were on air, they didn’t actually have a script Whilst we were there, I saw this lady working there, and she was preparing on of the ads she will play on air. She was working under pressure as she just got to know she had to prepare it, and made it in the next 5 minutes, and also played it on air. This showed me that this job is really tough, as things can be really last minute. There were many different events that were taking place, as they were hosting a new event which was a music event. They had done this previously a few times but this time there was a lot more hype about it. This was a Commercial Organisation as their aim was to make profit, and to be successful. This was the main event which was taking place at the moment.

However, the majority of the space is taken by theatres, and this is know mainly for their drama We got to see the film reel they play in the cinemas, and it was really interesting as this was the first time I actually got to see a film reel, and it was really thick. Also, we were told that there are people who have to stay there and have to operate the whole thing, for the film to play properly. I didn’t actually think it was that hard of a job, until I knew exactly what they have to do, and that totally changed my thinking, as now I know how tough it actually is We were also told that people get to do little performances here even if they’re not qualified in theatre. However, before they hold the performance they do check for themselves if it is good enough There are a lot of events that were taking place in the Waterman’s Theatre. One of them was a party. This was for Christmas and it told you that there will be a comedian coming along who is actually really well know. As well as that, there were classes for drama that were taking place. This was for younger kids. By having this it made them have something for everybody. Also the drama that the kids come up with, they get to perform in the actual theatre, to give them a taste of how it actually is to work in a theatre and it also gives them experience.

Also one of the paintings they had was very ancient and was painted right after the WW1, and it was to show how WW1 had impacted the world We got a chance to go around and see all the paintings they had. This was great as we got to see all the different paintings they had from all different artists from around the world, and how different each painting was There was a group of painting in the art gallery, and that was from a specific artist, and it showed all the different countries he visited whilst he was on tour. These were not shown throw painting, but through photographs, and I think he done that to show the reality of the countries There was one main event that goes on all year round which really fascinated me. What it was that people got to show their art work they made. I think that was really great as it opened opportunities for people. I think things like this is really important because making it through as an artist is one of the hardest things to do, and by them holding an event like this it really does help people do what they love
