This document discusses a competency-based training framework developed to prepare nonlinear and flexible PowerPoint presentation templates that encourage interactive teaching and learning. The framework includes analysis of training needs, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Research findings showed the training module was effective and flexible to use, though its usefulness in developing interactive instructional competencies was average. The framework incorporates topic indicators, slide selectors, and triggers to facilitate nonlinear navigation. Examples demonstrate how it can embed content and maximize slide screen usage for interactivity.
