Design of Smart Traffic Light Controller Using Embedded SystemIOSR Journals
This document describes a proposed design for a smart traffic light controller system using embedded technology. It aims to address issues with conventional fixed-time traffic light systems. The key features of the proposed system include using infrared sensors to dynamically adjust light intervals based on real-time vehicle counts, prioritizing emergency vehicles by turning all other lights red, and providing traffic information to drivers via SMS to help avoid congested routes. The system is intended to minimize wait times, manage traffic loads adaptively, and help emergency vehicles pass through intersections quickly. It is presented as an improvement over other approaches in the literature such as expert systems, fuzzy logic, and magneto-resistive sensor-based systems.
Facial Emotion Recognition: A Deep Learning approachAshwinRachha
Neural Networks lie at the apogee of Machine Learning algorithms. With a large set of data and automatic feature selection and extraction process, Convolutional Neural Networks are second to none. Neural Networks can be very effective in classification problems.

The document describes the requirements, specifications, and hardware architecture for an automatic chocolate vending machine (ACVM). The key requirements are that the machine accepts coins as payment and dispenses chocolate to children. It also provides refunds when too much money is inserted. The specifications include diagrams of the coin inputs, display, keypad, and chocolate/refund outputs. A class diagram models the ACVM devices, output ports, and system tasks/interrupts using UML. The hardware architecture uses a 8051 microcontroller, RAM, ROM, timer, interrupts, and wireless modem to run the ACVM system and interface.
wireless electronic notice board using GSMVijeeth Anitha
This project implements a wireless electronic notice board using GSM technology. A microcontroller receives SMS messages from a mobile phone via a GSM modem. It then displays the messages on an LCD screen. The system was designed, built and tested. It provides a low-cost, flexible way to remotely display messages and could be useful for applications like advertising, education and information sharing. Potential enhancements include displaying multiple messages simultaneously and adding priority levels to messages.
This document discusses analog to digital conversion (ADC). It explains that an analog signal is continuous while a digital signal is discrete. An ADC converts an analog signal to a digital signal using two main steps: 1) quantization which breaks down the analog value into discrete states and 2) encoding which assigns a binary number to each state. There are three main types of ADCs: flash ADCs which are very fast but expensive; dual slope ADCs which are slower but cheaper; and successive approximation ADCs which provide a balance between speed and cost. The document provides details on how each type of ADC works.

Pir sensor based security alarm system using um 3561 (2)Ushaswini Chowdary
This document describes a PIR sensor-based security alarm system that uses a PIR sensor and UM3561 siren IC. The system detects infrared radiation emitted from humans using a PIR sensor and triggers the UM3561 IC to produce an alarm siren. It uses low-power, inexpensive components like a PIR sensor, UM3561 siren IC, transistors, resistors, speaker and battery. When the PIR sensor detects human infrared radiation within its 5m range, it sends a signal to the UM3561 IC to generate an alarm siren through the speaker. This provides a low-cost solution for security and other applications.
The document discusses hardware/software co-design of embedded systems. It describes how embedded systems use computers for dedicated functions and discusses issues in designing these systems, including hardware/software partitioning and allocation. It also outlines a co-design methodology that allows verifying the entire hardware-software system through simulation and partitioning tasks between processors to avoid bottlenecks.
This document describes an embedded real-time clock based industrial device control system developed by Logic Mind Technologies. The system uses a PIC microcontroller interfaced with a DS1307 real-time clock chip to programmatically switch on heavy machinery and devices only during needed time periods, in order to reduce electrical energy wastage. A 3V battery is connected to the real-time clock to avoid disturbances from power failures. The system provides control switches to enter required timings and displays the alarm times and current time on a 2x16 LCD. It was developed as a solution for industrial sites where machinery operates and wastes power during time periods with low worker activity.

9. Disegnare i triclini e i tavolini come nell’immagine.
