- 2. Treatment Sheet – Costume and Style Overview The style of the song is fast and brutal with much darker themes than some other songs and genres of music so this will be conveyed in the video. This will be conveyed this in the style of editing and the costume and makeup. Style The style of our video will fit that of the band. This means that the video effects and the costume will be dark due to the darker nature of the music. The edit of the video will be a lot more frantic due to the faster style of the music and because of the theme of the song we will try to use more visual effects to convey the meaning of the song and the sense of insecurity and isolation that is portrayed within the lyrics. The artists in the video will have a classic rock style and look. This means that they will be wearing more casual clothes (most commonly sleeveless shirts and skinny jeans) and there will be a lot more instruments on display throughout the video compared to music videos for some other genres of music. Costume The costume for our video will be casual clothes such as skinny jeans and shirts etc. However due to our genre of music we have decided that it would be best if the band wore darker clothes as it would also fit the darker theme of the song. We have decided on an older fashioned classic rock look as at the time of the tracks release this the look and style that the band had. This includes darker clothes, shorter sleeves and longer hair.
