The document proposes a system to provide transportation information to residents and visitors of a city. The existing system does not provide comprehensive transportation details. The proposed system would allow users to view public transportation schedules, routes, fares and real-time updates. It would also give registered users the ability to provide feedback and allow city employees to update transportation content in the centralized database. The system would be built using Java and deployed on a Tomcat server with an Oracle database.

2. Objective:
 Provide an application which allows residents and
visitors of a city to find out more about transportation-
related aspects about the city. Aspects include
information about public transportation options,
schedules, fares, , and so forth (education). The site
might also provide real-time information about bus
and other public transportation information.

3. Existing System:
 The existing system is not provide all types of
Transportation Information Of a city.
 The existing system not provides information of all
city bus and other types of public transportation
details.
 Searching of particular information related to public
transportation is very critical where it takes lot of time.
 In the manual system not provides easy access to get
information about Road work and traffic related data
etc.
 It’s does not provides citizen’s feedback or suggestion.

4. Proposed System:
 The development of this new system contains the following
activities, which try to automate the entire process keeping
in the view of database integration approach by system
Rich User Interface.
 The user information files can be stored in centralized
database which can be maintained by the system.
 A User can view the details of various types of public
transportation.
 Citizens can register with the site so that he can get
information online.
 Visitors of this system also can access city bus routes and
schedules based on city name.
 The web site provides information about the cargo
transport agencies details also.

 Citizens can get bus route and bus scheduling
information.
 Citizens can access City trains Schedules and related
information.
 Registered user can access road works details.
 City residents can view their profile and update their
details.
 City residents can view Fares of public transportation.
 City residents can view Educational institutes location

can be added by authoriesed City Employees.

 Registered user are nothing but city residents, they can
register into our site and they can access their
modules.
 Registered user can view all City bus routes of resident
city.
 Registered user can view Schedules of available bus
timing along with routes.
 Registered user can view MMTS scheduling based on
selected source and destination of resident city.

8.  They can view Google Map through this web site also.
 This website allows city residents to give their feedback and
suggestion regards to roads and city transportation.
 Registered user can view their profile and update their
profile.

to resident City.

9. City Employees
 City employees can add public transportaion related
information into database.
 In our project we have two types of city employees.
 First one Traffic department officer, he/she can add city bus
route information and view that information.
 Traffic officer can add and view city bus schedule
information.
 Officer can add cargo transport services details and
different types of transportation fares.
 Officer can add Educational institutes location related
information.
 Officer can add road works related information and the
informaton which is useful to analyze traffic conditions.

10.  Second one is Railway Officer who is provides city
train related information.
 Officier can add MMTS route and stations of a
particular city .
 Officier can add MMTS schedules also and view
Schedules.
 Officier can view feedbacks and suggestion of their
city residents.

11. Administrator
 Administrator is able to add State and Cities. And can
view also.
 Administrator can add City Employees of added cities.
 Administrator can view all feedback and suggestion
and can delete also.

12. Visitors
 Visitors of this system, can access city bus routes and
stops related information based on selected city.
 Visitors can view Corgo services of different cities.
 Visitors can view some traffic rules also.

13. Security And Authentication
Module:
 The user details should be verified against the details
in the user tables and if it is valid user, they should be
entered into the system. Once entered, based on the
user type access to the different modules to be enabled
/ disabled and individual user can change their default
password or old password.
