Road transportation has significantly changed the world by enabling faster and more efficient transport of goods and people. It allowed for increased trading and economic growth by making it possible to send more goods faster. Early roads were muddy and unreliable, but innovations like the wheel and inventions like macadamised roads made transportation easier and more dependable. Over time, roads and vehicles improved, which supported populations by facilitating trade, economic opportunities, and learning about different parts of the world. However, road transportation also introduced disadvantages like pollution, deforestation, and accidents that harm humans and the environment.

2. • Driving question: How has road transportation
changed then world?
• My topic is important to the teenage
population because of its easy reliability to us
teens. Transportation has become a big part
of the way we do everything in the world like
trading and moving goods from one place to
another, thus making it important in not just
teenagers life's, but to all populations life.

3. • I knew that technology has become a big part of the
populations everyday life.
• Transportation has also helped us travel to different parts
of the world, also helped us learn more about the
different parts of the world we didn’t know anything
about.
• Without the wheel we couldn’t of send our goods at a
faster pace then we had to before, meaning we could
send more and more out at a time increasing the
populations worth.

4. • I wanted to learn when road transportation become such
a big deal and when it started to be in the everyday
situations.
• I felt like finding out the flaws that road transportation
brought to the world would be an important thing to learn
about.
• How people had the inspiration to create the road
transportation that is used today and especially used
back then.
• How they got around if the muddy “roads” were too
muddy.

5. • I learned that the wheel was one of the bet inventions of
its time. Not just for being able to be used in
transportation but helping the people of that time
continue trading more and more producing more and
more product. Being able to transport good faster helped
the people make more money and making them be able
to make livings finally, and by the wheel invention it
helped us discover more and more parts of the world.

6. • I focused my study mainly on this part of transportation
because I felt like it would be easily relatable to my peers
and all the adults in the world. I also felt like it would be
more interesting to find how trading was done before they
and drivable roads and even before the wheel.

7. • Designed the first highway.
• Invented the new process, "macadamisation.
• Macadamisation was the process of building a road with a
smooth and hard surface that would be more durable than the
mud.
• McAdam thought that the roads would be used for any kind of
traffic.
• I felt this man being most important because he was the guy to
change how the roads were being constructed and how it
would be easier to transport goods from place to place. His
early roads helped transportation because it was smoother
than mud and easier to rely on to move using a horse or oxen
, and especially easier when using wheels.

8. • In the early years people used horses and oxen’s to get around.
• Later came the wheel which change the way we transportation not
just people but also goods to other parts of the world.
• The wheel became the most popular thing that every city and town
had, even if it was only a couple pairs.
• These pictures relate to my driving question by showing the way
transportation look back when the roads weren't paved like they are
now and when they didn’t really have many ways to transport unlike
today.

9. • This was the first article I used from EBSCO.
• I used this article because I felt it being a good article that
related to my topic/driving question because it talked
about the early way we used roads and transportation,
and how it has changed the way we transport things
around the world. Also talking about how using roads and
transportation faster to trade goods then using trading
posts and ports.

10. • This was my second article from EBSCO that I focused my
research on this topic.
• I thought this article would been a good view on how people
from a different country would adapt to the changes that
happened to the road and the transportation that was used
and now being used.
• This article relates to my driving question and topic because I
felt that knowing the different ways people used transportation
different would be a good way to relate back to how we use
our transportation and maybe adapt things from different
countries to use here.

11. • Deforestation would be a big issue that everybody should
have about road construction and building factories that
would produce forms of transportation mainly
automobiles.
• Pollution from vehicles is a big flaw that has become a
serious issue dealing with our population because the
cars are killing the planet and eventually seriously
harming the population.
• Death caused by vehicles on roads is another flaw that
transportation has, it could be as little as a malfunction
with the brakes or the engine. Even the little things could
cost a life. As we all know people aren't perfect so it could
also be the carelessness of other people that are using
transportation that could seriously harm or kill humans.

12. • Door to door service.
• Easier transporting goods.
• Faster at transporting goods.
• More reliable source of transportation.
• Cheaper than using trains or other forms of transportation in
the long run.
Disadvantages of Transportation
• Accidents caused by vehicles harming people
• Causes pollution in the atmosphere

13. • Road transportation has change significantly to help
support the workers of the times back then would didn’t
have any other form of work these people were finally
able to support there families better than ever. From
changes to the roads to the changes of the different
transportation used were have been able to adapt to
these changes and build from those to help better
support our population. Sending goods became easier,
the more “built” our world has been adapting to the
changes helped the population send goods faster and
more efficient making the people have a higher net worth.
