Trainspotting is a film about drug addicts whose only purpose in life is getting their next "hit" of drugs to stimulate their senses. It follows a group of friends led by Mark Renton who is a fan of Iggy Pop. Mark realizes his life is going nowhere and decides to travel to London, but his friends come up with a business plan to cheat him and he flees. The film examines judgments made in life about freedom and obligations without following rules or having responsibilities like work or family.
