cards. Distributing business cards to
your customers and clients is a form of
indirect marketing. This can keep you in
the race of professionalism in the long
run, but the question is, for how long?
We all know paper is made up of trees.
Being the major source of raw material for
paper manufacturing, millions of trees are
being cut down. There’s a small portion
of recycled papers in the world. Even in
India, paper recycling is not operated on a
large scale.
Environmental issues are rising day by
day, and no strict actions are in place
to tackle this. Governments implement
policies in the front, but back on ground,
very few are following these rules. Plastic
is one of the major issues we are facing
from the last decade and it could get
worse if we do not find a strong solution
to this. Trees play a major role in balancing
the climate of earth, oxygen and food
supplies we get from the dense forest is

fading away. Strong current cyclones,
severe heavy rainfall in just one day,
drought, and extreme heat are the
reactions of Mother Nature towards
deforestation.
If we have fewer trees in our
surroundings, it can cause many
other issues to the entire human race.
To curb such issues, many startups
and business units are introducing
paperless/digital solutions, recycling
of paper to reduce waste generation
of paper. Papers are not just one
factor to think about, the ink printed
on the paper is more harmful and
contains toxic chemicals which are
contaminating our soil and water
bodies. Even the single layer fine
plastic coating and lamination layer
on the paper has the same effect as
the ink has. It is not just harming our
nature, can cause certain harm to the
human body as well.
To eliminate such risks and protect
our future generation from getting
in to deep trouble, startups are
getting green by introducing green
business cards or we can call them
digital business cards. In our cover
story, we have Mr. Ajay Sharma,

Sailax has had over 100k downloads of the DBC app since
its inception in 2020. It is a testament to how DBC has
dramatically changed opportunities for networking - their
app is being used by employees of tech giants like Tesla and
Microsoft. In August 2021, Sailax DBC was ranked #1 for
the best digital business card app on the Playstore. With
data security being a primary concern in apps developed to
utilize it, rest assured, Sailax DBC is also GDPR regulated.
Their contribution to significantly reducing the carbon
footprint of today’s climatically threatened world is the
most significant achievement of all.
Sailax also boasts itself with state-of-the-art app features

Contactless Sharing is one that particularly stands out and

Their Inception
The utilitarian good was the driving force behind the
formulation of a completely sustainable solution-based
company. Sustainable solutions are always perceived to be
an expensive/exorbitant choice and sometimes it is. Sailax
identified the need for an affordable sustainable alternative,
and they simply took their chance.
The difficulty in changing people’s perceptions of
sustainable choices was a significant challenge for Sailax.
They had to prove to the public that it wasn’t a ruse or a
sham. They had to educate people on the importance of a
sustainable solution and its potential benefits.
Deduced from their own experience with office relocation,
Sailax had to discard all old business cards and print new
ones, with the new address costing them significantly more
money and effectively contradicting their sustainable
policy. The team had identified the importance of
business cards but also their adverse impact on the
environment.
The production of paper business cards not only wipes
out the trees that give us oxygen but also uses over

11,000 ounces of water - which is close to nearly 64
days of your child’s water supply. DBC is an attempt
to replace an age-old tradition of exchanging paper
business cards with digital business cards. The team at
Sailax targeted an audience who viewed paper business
cards as their primary tool of marketing about a
sustainable choice.
In these trying COVID times, a digital business card is
not only an option, but a requirement for contactless
sharing. The paperless Interactive business card allows

In contrast to his own path, coming from a defense
background and tutored in Military School Bangalore,
Ajay believes that there is no alternative to hard work
and that true happiness comes with giving it back to
society. Ajay was inspired by the can-do culture, where
people are more focused on how to make something
happen instead of why it can’t be done.
While having the confidence, he’d figure things out and
was determined to be a part of that culture. Eventually,
he had decided that Australia was the place for him.

We explored the opportunity to bring the change
and provide our services focussing on such tier2,

experience in academia?
I always been focused on attaining practical knowledge
rather than cramming up textbooks. I did my schooling
and graduated from Christian College Lucknow. Later, I
moved to Delhi to pursue my Company Secretary course,
but like I said I have always been an ‘out of textbook’
kind of a person I couldn’t continue for long and started
gaining practical knowledge in Affiliate Business. As
they say, rest is history. Also, I did a couple of online
management courses and added digital skills related to
Mobile Ecosystem.
What according to you are the leadership
skills that propelled you towards success?
We have been following one motto “Let’s Grow together”.
So by this, all will be benefitted for all the stakeholder’s

We do follow “Fail Fast But Fail Differently” but take the

Digital media trends are ever-evolving. What’s working

Tell us about your team. How has your team
strengthened your company’s vows?
Teamwork is Dreamwork, a saying I always swear
by. Needless to say that an efficient team can take the
company to new heights while an incompetent team can
make it see the doomsday.
Talking about my team, they are family and I always
like to treat them like one. They have been my constant
support in both good and bad business days. We believe
in each other and work for the common goal and I guess
that’s the most important for any company to grow and

What is Inuit?
Inuit Cloud Technologies Pvt. Ltd. is a private limited
company founded by two friends who have known
each other for over three decades. Inuit’s CEO is Mr.
Narasimhan M H, while the CTO is Mr. Sharath
Punthambekar.
Inuit (“I knew it”), an economical cloud software,
is ready to usher in an SME Business Revolution by
providing an affordable, convenient, and rapid cloud
software solution to India’s 42 million small and
medium enterprises (SMEs), which account for 30% of
the country’s GDP. Inuit is now available to SMEs who
cannot afford a pricey IT solution and are looking for
quick and easy software to automate their company
activities.
Their Inception
Mr. Punthambekar, who has extensive expertise in
implementing systems both in India and overseas,
argued to Mr. Narasimhan that providing a cost-
effective, simple cloud solution to SMEs would be
extremely beneficial, as there are now very few solutions
available to automate SMEs. Mr. Narasimhan agreed to
angel fund the idea and Mr. Punthambekar agreed to
design and develop it. That is how Inuit was created.
On Karnataka Rajyotsava Day, November 1, 2013, Inuit
Cloud Technologies Pvt. Ltd. successfully released its
Gold Medal Winner “Inuit.”
Mr. Sharath Punthambekar, CTO of Inuit Cloud
Technologies Pvt. Ltd., has over thirty years of
experienceinthetechnologyindustryandhasdeveloped
various business process systems both in India and
internationally.Hebelievesthatforacountrytoflourish,
SMEs must be made more productive. Automation of
business processes to boost an organization’s efficiency
is one proven area to help it become more productive.
The problems that every SME encountered for
automation to thrive were a lack of resources for pricey
IT infrastructure, and IT culture, and trained people.
Frequent personnel movement has compelled SMEs to
invest heavily in educating new employees.
Mr. Sharath Punthambekar planned, developed, and
executed Inuit with this assumption in mind. The
Government of India (GOI) praised the initiative, and
Mr. Sharath was invited to submit his concept along
with a prototype for review.
The evaluation was split into two parts. One was
regulatory and India-specific: the innovator,
organization, and application or innovation must be

contribution by India to the global effort to address
climate change challenges.
The Mission’s goal is to make India a global leader in solar
energy by establishing regulatory conditions that allow
solar technology to spread as swiftly as possible across
the country. By 2022, the Mission hopes to have installed
100 GW of grid-connected solar power plants. This is by
India’s Intended Nationally Determined Contributions
(INDCs) objective of 40 percent cumulative electric
power installed capacity from non-fossil fuel-based
energy resources by 2030, and a reduction of 33 to 35
percent in the emission intensity of its GDP from 2005
levels.
To meet this goal, the Indian government has
implemented several policies, including the Solar
Park Scheme, VGF Schemes, CPSU Schemes, Defence
Schemes, Canal Bank & Canal Top Schemes, Bundling
Schemes, Grid Connected Solar Rooftop Schemes, and
others.
The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy has
implemented two programs:
 Off-Grid Programme
One of the Ministry’s oldest programs, the Off-Grid
Solar PV Applications Program, aims to provide solar
PV-based applications in locations where grid power
is either unavailable or unreliable. The program
covers solar home lights, solar street lighting, solar
power plants, solar pumps, solar lanterns, and solar
study lamps, among other applications.
Solarpumpsareanimportantpartofthesolaroff-grid
program because they provide dependable irrigation
in rural and remote places. Solar photovoltaic water
pumping systems may readily cover the irrigation
needs of small and marginal farmers’ landholdings.
As a result, solar pumps are being employed to replace
the existing diesel irrigation pump. Up until March

Off-grid and Decentralized Solar PV Applications

Of all the big cat species, the tiger is the largest. Tigers
are easily identified by their striped orange coat and long,
striped tail. An adult Bengal Tiger can reach a length of
up to 3 meters, including the tail, and weigh more than
250 kg. Adult tigers have white spots of fur on the back
of each ear to make it easier for their young to follow
them in poor light. There are never two tigers with the
same stripes. Individual tigers can be distinguished by
markings on their body, face, or tail, which can vary in
number and thickness. The Bengal Tiger, like all tigers, is
a carnivore. Rather than chasing down prey, the Bengal
Tiger uses the "stalk and ambush" approach, which
involves silently stalking prey and then striking it from
behind. Tigers are solitary animals, except a mother and
her cubs. Tigers have the potential to turn into man-
eaters. People at risk can put a mask on the back of their
heads, which has been used in the past to avoid Bengal

tigers were predicted to live in India in 2018, according
to the National Tiger Conservation Authority.
New Research
A study conducted on the skin of Indian carnivores
by Rajani et al. (2020) revealed that the skin of Bengal
tigers has a Stratum Basale, Stratum Spinosum, Stratum
Granulosum, and Stratum Corneum. The presence of
compound hair follicles was a distinguishing trait. A
single big primary guard hair was ringed by compound
follicles in Bengal tigers. In Bengal tigers, the number
of surrounding compound follicles ranged from three
to seven. One to two coarse primary hair follicles and
multiple fine secondary hair follicles were found in each
compound follicle.
Tiger samples from the Sundarbans were tested for
mitochondrial and microsatellite markers and compared
to mainland Bengal tiger populations in India (northern
and peninsular). In comparison to other mainland
tiger populations, Sundarbans tigers were found to
be genetically unique and to have reduced genetic
variation. The Sundarbans tiger was recently isolated
from the mainland (600—2000 years ago), according
to a demographic study. Until recently, historical and
genetic evidence suggested that the Sundarbans tiger
was genetically related to mainland tigers. Finally,
genetic isolation from mainland tiger populations and
adaption to the mangrove ecology may
have altered the Sundarbans tiger's
genetic architecture. As a result,
the Sundarbans tiger needs specific
conservation care to preserve its
unique ability to adapt as well as its
genetic uniqueness. The adaptive
evolutionary conservation (AEC)

The chemical composition of
the territorial marking fluid
of a male Bengal tiger,
Panthera tigris, was
investigated. It was discovered to be made up of urine and

controlled-release carrier for the fluid's volatile contents.
In the marking fluid, 98 volatile chemicals and elemental
sulfur were detected using gas chromatography and gas
chromatography-mass spectrometry. A total of 16 more
volatiles have been tentatively discovered. Alkanols,
alkanals, 2-alkanones, branched and unbranched
alkanoic acids, dimethyl esters of dicarboxylic acids, -
and -lactones, and compounds containing nitrogen or
sulfur made up the bulk of these substances. Pure (R)-3-
methyl-2-octanone, (R)-3-methyl-2-nonanone, and (R)-
3-methyl-2-decanone were found in many samples of the
marking fluid, although these ketones were racemized in
others. The saturated (R)—lactones and (S)—lactones
(S)-(+)-(Z)-6-dodecen-4-olide (S)-(+)-(Z)-6-dodecen-
4-olide (S)-(+)-(Z)-6-dodecen-4-olide (S)-(+)-(Z)-
6-dodecen-4-olide (S)—lac 2-methylnonanoic acid,
2-methyldecanoic acid, 2-methylundecanoic acid, and
2-ethylhexanoic acid were racemates among the chiral
carboxylic acids. The presence of ketones, fatty acids,
and lactones in high concentrations in the headspace
of the marking fluid shows that these chemicals are key
pheromone ingredients (Burger et al., 2008).
For DNA extraction and subsequent genotyping of tiger
species, non-invasive samples such as scat, hair, or scent
are preferred. DNA was isolated from Bengal tiger scat
samples and a fragment of the cytochrome b gene was
sequenced after PCR using species-specific primers in
a study conducted by Alam et al. (2021). Tiger DNA
was effectively recovered from scat samples using tiger-
specific primers, based on the size of the PCR result and
the sequencing of the cytochrome b gene. As a result,
the presence of tiger DNA may be detected using this
method only based on the size of the PCR product in
the gel.
