This document discusses the challenges of organizing large collections of photos from different sources like trips and events. It notes that people often take many photos but have no easy way to combine, sort, select and share the best ones. The document proposes creating a service that allows users to collectively organize photos into albums from different events. However, it raises concerns about usability, privacy, technical requirements and gaining user adoption for such a service.

Non-aeronautical revenues critically determine the financial viability of an airport as they tend to generate higher profit margins than aeronautical activities, the latter frequently representing a zero sum game or producing a deficit.

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

2. introduction
• Travelling creates lot of pictures.
• When you have several cameras (dslr, phone), then
even more.
• When travelling with group of friends, then multiply
by number of cameras
• No place where to have all pictures together from
different sources
• No ways of sorting and selecting the best
• Create presentation later for other friends
3. introduction
• Company parties
• Huge number of pictures
• Lot of crappy pictures
• Needs sorting and removal
• Voting and then hide bad photos
• Creating personal collages or random collages
4. introduction
• Children birthdays –lot of different sources
• Collective albums of events
• Making old events alive again – let people to
add pictures (through some group
moderation) to some albums.
5. examples
Trip to Denmark, 3 days = 200 pictures from
phone + 300 from dslr per 1 family (x3 as
there were 3 families in total ). No way to set
pictures up in order sort and select interesting
ones – “create .rar file”, “delete foggy ones”
etc.
6. tech ideas
• creating synthetic index key for picture,
include it with even highly modified picture –
based on exif-gps, tags separately
• Lot of work must be done on user’s device –
otherwise it’s very easy to run out of
resources
• mobile
7. interviews
• Most of people had quite pragmatic view to
such situations – sorting, selecting are that we
need to do every time anyway, it’s good
enough for us to just get pictures to hard disk
8. things to make clear
• Maybe it’s worth to understand, why sorting,
selecting is so hard
• What is behind thing that lot of pictures stay
on hard disk
10. fears
• Uploading/downloading – usability issues, especially over
slower connections/expensive connection
• Privacy issues
• Lot of much better photo apps, easy to add such functionality
to existing one
• No idea how to build sustainable infrastructure for such
service – storage/cpu requirements are perhaps quite high
• How to make people to upload their stuff – it’s relatively
complicated compared to mobile
