Integrated Actions for Improving Energy Efficiency in Municipalities 
•Save Energy I’ addressed exclusively to Municipalities, for energy efficiency interventions in public buildings, installations and outdoor spaces, municipal lighting, transport and awareness raising. 
•‘Save Energy II’ addressed to Municipalities that didn’t receive funding from the previous programme (Save Energy I). This programme does not require an Action Plan. 
EXOIKONOMO PROGRAMME: “I CONSERVE” 
•Demonstration projects for green rural and island communities
Tools: Funding of actions National Projects for public buildings and spaces: 
•Demonstration projects for the use of RES and ES measures in existing public school buildings, with a budget of 40 mio €. 10 applications have been submitted; on going. 
•Demonstration projects for the use of RES and ES in public buildings, with a budget of 40 mio €. 63 applications have been submitted with a budget of 120 mio €; evaluation phase. 
•Demonstration projects for the construction of green roofs in public buildings, with a budget of 20 mio €. 169 applications have been submitted with a budget of 31 mio €; evaluation phase. 
•Installation of high-efficiency CHP units in conjunction with natural gas cooling systems in hospitals, with a budget of 15 mio €. 
•Bioclimatic upgrading of public open spaces

•‘Energy Saving in Household Buildings’ addressed to houses/flats owners and provides direct subsidies and interest free bank loans for the renovation-EP improvement of existing buildings. Over 79.000 applications have been submitted and over 13.000 applications have been finally approved with total budget 126 mio €. 
• ‘Building the Future’, addressed to private building owners (residential and commercial sector buildings). It was launched in April 2012, and includes a web platform, that – inter alia – records and presents in a database energy efficient building products available in the market and provides relevant specifications, certificates, directions for application, and discount prices, in collaboration with the Greek industries and providers of the products.

• ‘Green Island – Ai Stratis’. It a research-demonstration project which renewable energy technologies and energy saving technologies to cover most of the island’s energy needs (at least 80%). Ai Stratis is a small Greek island with approximately 260 inhabitants situated on the North-East Aegean Sea. 
•Demonstration project "Green Neighbourhood", with a budget of 7 mio €. It concerns the energy upgrade of a building block - four low income multi-family buildings – to ‘nearly zero energy’
