Property profile
RUSTCON is a single component,
water-based rust converter which
may be applied on any rusted iron or
steel surface. It converts the rust into
a protective black layer that seals out
the moisture and protects against
future corrosion.

Substrate preparation
The surface should be sound, free of
dust, laitance and other contaminants.
Remove dust, flakes or other foreign
particles and clean the surface
mechanically or with wire brush to
ensure removal of loose rust particles.
Application procedure
RUSTCON is applied on a firm and
bone dry surface. The product is
spread evenly over the entire surface
by a brush. Second coat is applied
once the first coat is touch dry.
Application Rate: 0.10 – 0.20 L/sqm
Tools, Cleaning
Brush, Roller.
Clean all tools immediately after use
with water.

At least 18 months in original unopened
containers, stored in cool and dry place,
away from heat
Notes
It is advisable to apply a protective UV
resistant coating if the surface is
exposed to atmosphere after 48 hrs to
ensure complete curing
Health & Safety
▪ It is advisable to use goggles, mask,
nose cover and hand gloves during
application
▪ Clean hands with warm soap water
after application
▪ Ensure adequate ventilation and
avoid inhalation of vapours
▪ Avoid contact with skin/eyes. In case
of unlikely contact with eyes, rinse
immediately with plenty of clean water,
then cleanse with soap and lukewarm
water and seek medical advise. Do not
use solvent to clean the contactedarea
▪ If swallowed, seek medical attention
immediately. Do not induce vomiting
