Title and Synopsis
FEAR OFF ..
FEAR FOR LIFE
DEADLY FEARS
DEAD END
The titles I have chosen have been based from our storyline about fears.
The titles fit well as they give a hint of what the film will be.
1)
2)
3)
4)
5)
This title has been discussed with my group and we have liked that the
word:‘FEAR’ could be flipped(as shown) to make the title look unusual
in a surreal way. This links to our synopsis as the characters are
disillusioned by their fears. The flipped word would establish that the
fears are seen as abstract (represented as an unusual way to write
letters). In my story, one of the characters does not even see what the
other character sees which makes the fear seem unreal.
This title is an interesting pun. The title refers to the characters trying
to hide from their fears as they are trapped in their illusional world
where it haunts them.
This title is very ideal for my horror trailer because it refers to the
character’s fears in which it can kill them, making the fears seen as
‘deadly.’
This title refers to the characters having a fear that they cannot escape
and it haunts them which makes them trapped and vulnerable to the
killer as he uses fears to kill them.
Another title could be ‘DEAD END,’ which also refers to the entrapment
that the characters face as they can’t escape their fears which would be
known as their ‘dead end.’
Slogans
FEAR FOR YOUR LIFE
DEADLY FEARS LEAD TO TEARS
I find that this slogan is quite interesting as it rhymes and can be memorable. This is an
important aspect to having the most ideal slogan as I have experienced that the release
of IT (2017) was memorable for its slogan: ‘You’ll float too.’ Although it doesn’t rhyme,
it refers to the film’s storyline well. The slogan has been seen on posters and mentioned
in its trailers. I think my slogan above fits well with my story too as it relates to fears
and that it has a very negative impact on the characters from the use of the word:
‘tears’.
This slogan is beneficial for our horror trailer because it refers to the characters
having a fear which affects their life. These fears are hard to get rid of so they
‘fear’ the characters for ‘life.’
