TIMELINE
There are three websites to use:
• Timetoast.com
• Meograph.com
• Myhistro.com
WEBSITES
Using a timeline tool could be useful in class for a few reasons:
• Easy to organize information and give students a visual
• Can use to allow students to learn about each other.
• Students can use these tools to organize important dates for classes such as
history.
USES
• Example:
MYHISTRO
• This site is easy to navigate.
• You can click each event to read more information about it.
• Interactive and easy for students to navigate and keep their interest on the
topic.
• Easy for students to share information.
• Gives two different views so you can use the view that works best for you
individually.
TIMETOAST
http://www.timetoast.com/timelines/barack-obama--84
EXAMPLE
• This site would be good for history and the dates for the events.
• The events are put onto a map at the place the event occurred.
• When timeline is generated it makes it a video for the specific dates
entered.
• This site is harder to navigate and would be better for older students.
MEOGRAPH
http://www.meograph.com/klamson/37597/places-ive-been
MEOGRAPH EXAMPLE
• Go to timetoast.com
• Make an account
• You must verify your account before we begin.
• Once your account has been verified go back to the site and go to your
timelines on the top right hand side of the page.
• From this page click add a new time line
• Just put a few dates that are important to you to make a sample and see
how easy the tool is to use and navigate.
