due to the fact that the

figure out who the suspicious
guy is and what will happen to

2. Shock -In the thriller opening the ending point
causes a great shock for the audience as they
are not aware of the fact that the suspicious
guy will catch up with the innocent girl.

3. Fast shots – This convention helps to build up
the tension as the shots are fast so the
audience cannot clearly see what is
happening. It some how confuses the
audience and may make them more shocked
when finding out what happens.

4. Dissolve – The dissolve effect was used to create a
suspicious feeling throughout the whole thriller. It
also helped us to join both clips of the newspapers as
well as the filming of the scene.

5. Extreme close up – This convention is used
nearer to the end when we see a shot of the
girl and the suspicious man together. It
creates a good effect as we can see clearly
what happens.

6. Mind games – Whilst the innocent girl was
trying to get away from the guy she ended up
looking around to see where he was, however
she could not see him. This confused therefore
confused the audience.

7. Antagonist – Like a typical thriller, my
thriller opening also conveys a villain. This
is the suspicious man who is chasing after
the innocent girl. The audience will know
this as they can see the reaction on the girls
face when she sees the man.
