Warning:Too much etym.
Also, a considerable amount of questions have been copied from numerous small quizzes on slideshare. Not verbatim but yes, I've taken ideas from them. Sincere apologies.
Also, this was meant for a first time audience so I've made it quite simple. Keywords in bold and all..

AI and Machine Learning Demystified by Carol Smith at Midwest UX 2017Carol Smith
What is machine learning? Is UX relevant in the age of artificial intelligence (AI)? How can I take advantage of cognitive computing? Get answers to these questions and learn about the implications for your work in this session. Carol will help you understand at a basic level how these systems are built and what is required to get insights from them. Carol will present examples of how machine learning is already being used and explore the ethical challenges inherent in creating AI. You will walk away with an awareness of the weaknesses of AI and the knowledge of how these systems work.
Science is the study of the universe and everything
in it—from the tiny atoms that make up all matter to
the forces that build stars and planets. Through the
study of science, we have been able to figure out
how our planet came to exist and how life on Earth
developed. We are even able to work out how the
universe might come to an end in the far future.
It is very difficult to organize a quiz in an institute where you get IIT coaching from std 9, this was a quiz hosted by me for the students of std 9. Questions might seem a bit nerdy
Synthetic Fiber Construction in lab .pptxPavel ( NSTU)
Synthetic fiber production is a fascinating and complex field that blends chemistry, engineering, and environmental science. By understanding these aspects, students can gain a comprehensive view of synthetic fiber production, its impact on society and the environment, and the potential for future innovations. Synthetic fibers play a crucial role in modern society, impacting various aspects of daily life, industry, and the environment. ynthetic fibers are integral to modern life, offering a range of benefits from cost-effectiveness and versatility to innovative applications and performance characteristics. While they pose environmental challenges, ongoing research and development aim to create more sustainable and eco-friendly alternatives. Understanding the importance of synthetic fibers helps in appreciating their role in the economy, industry, and daily life, while also emphasizing the need for sustainable practices and innovation.
We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

This is a presentation by Dada Robert in a Your Skill Boost masterclass organised by the Excellence Foundation for South Sudan (EFSS) on Saturday, the 25th and Sunday, the 26th of May 2024.
He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.
The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

• The Bessemer process was the first inexpensive industrial process for the
mass-production of X from molten pig iron prior to the open hearth furnace.
The key principle is removal of impurities from the iron by oxidation with air
being blown through the molten iron. The oxidation also raises the
temperature of the iron mass and keeps it molten.
• Related decarburizing with air processes had been used outside Europe for
hundreds of years, but not on an industrial scale. The process has existed
since the 11th century in East Asia, where the scholar Shen Kuo describes its
use in China . In the 17th century, accounts by European travellers detailed its
possible use by the Japanese. The modern process is named after its inventor,
the Englishman Henry Bessemer, who took out a patent on the process in
1856.
• In the manufacturing of what is the Bessemer process used?

won the Nobel Prize in Physics on their study of a
subatomic particle. They researched on the oscillation
theory of a sub-atomic particle which was believed to

subatomic particle do have mass.

• The X is an equinoctial sundial, consisting a gigantic triangular gnomon with
the hypotenuse parallel to the Earth's axis. On either side of the gnomon is a
quadrant of a circle, parallel to the plane of the equator. The instrument is
intended to measure the time of day, correct to half a second and declination
of the Sun and the other heavenly bodies. In the 18th century these were
constructed by Maharaja Jai Singh II with the primary purpose of the
observatory was to compile astronomical tables, and to predict the times and
movements of the sun, moon and planets.
• The name X translates into calculation instrument in Hindi, Identify X.

• According to Google Calculator, “_______________" is
equal to 1.16699016 × 10-8 hertz. The hertz is a unit of
frequency (one per second), and thus if the mean length
of time between ____ ____ (2.7145 years according to
Google) is metricated and converted to a frequency (by
calculating the multiplicative inverse), it can be expressed
in terms of hertz.

• In 1917, when the American brand Colgate came to India, they were surprised
to see Indians use salt and X to clean their teeth. They suggested that their

• The name of this metal derives from a Spanish word which means "little
silver", because it was first encountered in a silver mine.It is the least reactive
metal. It has remarkable resistance to corrosion, even at high temperatures,
and is therefore considered a noble metal. It is now used in catalytic
converters, laboratory equipment, electrical contacts and electrodes,
thermometers and dentistry equipment. Being a heavy metal, it leads to
health issues upon exposure to its salts, but due to its corrosion resistance, it
is not as toxic as some metals.
• Which metal are we talking about which also considered as a symbol of
prestige ?

• The soleus is a powerful muscle in the back part of the lower leg (the calf). It
runs from just below the knee to the heel, and is involved in standing and
walking. The action of the calf muscles, including the soleus, is plantarflexion
of the foot (that is, they increase the angle between the foot and the leg).
They are powerful muscles and are vital in walking, running, and dancing. The
soleus specifically plays an important role in maintaining standing posture; if
not for its constant pull, the body would fall forward.
• Also, in upright posture, the soleus is responsible for completing a system. It
acts as a pseudo organ, hence it gets a very peculiar name. How do we know
the soleus muscle ?
