This document contains several quotes and passages on various topics:
1) Respect must be earned through giving it away, not demanded. A wise person learns from others' mistakes.
2) Never follow the well-traveled path, as it only leads to where others have been. There is always reason behind apparent madness in love.
3) Time passes differently for those waiting, scared, lamenting, or celebrating, but for lovers it is eternity. People often miss small joys seeking great happiness.
4) It is better to have a good plan for today than a perfect plan for tomorrow. When reaching for stars, one may not grasp them but will avoid mud.
The document discusses challenges in aid, development finance, and global economic governance in light of the global financial crisis. It notes new challenges for aid donors due to budget pressures and changing priorities around issues like global public goods. It also discusses how emerging markets and decisions by the G20, such as on exchange rates and fiscal policy, have major effects on low-income countries and least developed countries, but that these countries have little voice in forums like the G20. It argues the G20 should improve links to the private sector and formally consider issues facing low-income countries, including potentially giving them seats at the G20 table, to better account for the development impacts of their policies.

Towards a High-Bandwidth, Low-Carbon Future Telecommunications-based Opportun...Turlough Guerin GAICD FGIA
This report identifies opportunities for Australian telecommunications networks to provide significant greenhouse gas emissions reductions. It finds that telecommunications could enable abatement equivalent to 4.9% of Australia's total emissions through initiatives like remote power management, presence-based power reduction, decentralized business districts, personalized public transport, real-time freight management, increased renewable energy use, and high definition video conferencing. Realizing these opportunities could result in annual energy and travel cost savings of $6.6 billion for consumers and businesses, as well as potential carbon credit revenue of $270 million to $1.2 billion depending on future carbon prices.

2012 Kelly work example Final overview report of integrated modelling proje...JAKIRL
The Integrated Modelling Project Ireland (IMPI) focused on developing modelling capabilities for analyzing climate and transboundary air pollution policies in Ireland. The key outputs were two models: GAINS Ireland, an integrated assessment model for climate and air policies based on the international GAINS model; and TREMOVE Ireland, a transport sector policy model based on TREMOVE. IMPI research calibrated these models to better represent Ireland, developed supporting systems, and engaged in policy support and analysis at national and international levels. This included identifying cost-effective pathways for Ireland to meet emissions targets, and promoting flexible policy mechanisms to address compliance challenges from uncontrollable factors. Overall, IMPI enhanced Ireland's analytical capacity while directly informing national and European policy discussions.

14001 Compliance and Certification.
Sustainability Consultant Intern at the London Sustainability Exchange (Jan 2011 – April 2011)
At the London Sustainability Exchange I worked with general business groups in Muswell Hill and Soho in achieving
reductions in environmental impacts. Key responsibilities and skills developed are carrying out environmental
audits on small to medium size businesses and writing up these audits in report form. I also helped run events
where businesses were gathered together and advised about their environmental impact and how to reduce it. An
example of a business I audited was an optician in Muswell Hill, in this case I advised the business to change to
energy efficient lighting and to implement water saving devices on the taps and shower. I also encouraged the
use of recycled paper in printing and an increase in recycling of cardboard and plastics.
Temporary Energy Assessor at Anglian GoWarm / Norwich City Council (Sept 2010 – Nov 2010)
The job is a temporary energy assessor job involving face-to-face discussions with householders to assess the basic
energy characteristics of their properties (fuel types, insulation levels etc) and characteristics of the household itself.
Information I have gathered will be used to identify energy efficiency measures and renewable energy measures.
Environmental Consultant at Maglev UK (Jan – Jul 2010)
Whilst at Maglev UK I carried out Environmental Impact Assessments for wind turbine and micro hydro projects, including
