What is your myth?
My myth is that most Mexican Americans are undocumented immigrants. The above myth is usually claimed by many individuals living in the United States because they generalize all Mexican Americans and consider them as undocumented immigrants. Not all Mexican immigrants illegal, policy has created, people have, association and illegal. The myth is kind of narrative, maybe make to more abroad.
What is your argument about your myth? (Should be two to three concise sentences.)
The above myth is not true because, in the United States, several policies were established to control the influx of people in different regions. The establishment of immigration policies occupied a critical role in registering individuals and classifying them as American citizens with equal rights to people born in America. Therefore, Mexican Americans are documented people who live in the United States, and they should receive similar treatment to other native-born citizens. Argument needs to be more relative to the myth, and don’t say all Mexican are documented immigrants, the only thing we can say is there are larger portion of Mexican has become documented immigrants, because there are still many Mexicans are undocumented, so we can only say the percentage of undocumented immigrants has decreased.

Undocumented immigrants can be defined as those people who were not born in America and have no legal rights that allow them to live in America. Undocumented immigrants are also known as aliens but this is not a legal term and it is widely used among the Americans because of its abusive connotation. It is believed that there are more than 11 million people living in America as illegal or undocumented immigrants in United States and this number has stood steady in the last the last eight years consecutively (Massey & Gentsch, 2014). Illegal immigrants escape from their country without any legal documentation, and they also do not enter the host country with legal documents. This, therefore, leads to them having to look for employment opportunities, and they end up taking jobs that mostly pay below the minimum wage. This brings about unhealthy competition for jobs by these immigrants (Hjarno, 2019).
Ethier (1986) describes the US advocacy and policy on immigrants especially those who run away from war or political persecution as a major reason for the influx of illegal immigrants. Although the US has done a great job in addressing the issue of illegal immigrants, there are still potential loopholes in the policies used, for instance, some policies deterrent in addressing the issue of illegal immigrants as the country has also to maintain good relationships with other countries (Tucker, 2019). Having said that, many of the illegal immigrants run away from their countries on the basis of economic hardships or war, nonetheless, when they come to the US, most of them cannot find jobs and to earn a living they end up committing crime or begging in the streets (Chapman Jr, 1975).

Embracing GenAI - A Strategic Imperative
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

- 1. This week's environmental controversy focuses on the question: should Immigration into the US be reduced? Review the background information. Then, using the References along with resources from your own research, write a 1-2 page response to the questions that follow. Remember to cite your sources using proper APA format. Background Information Legal and illegal immigration into the United States is discussed in your textbook. Advocates of liberal immigration argue that both legal and illegal immigrants are needed to perform difficult and low paying jobs that most citizens won't take. Advocates also sympathize with immigrants because many of them are fleeing poverty and tyranny in their homelands. Immigrants pay taxes, help to support the US social security system, and contribute to American society. Opponents of immigration include individuals that want to ban or significantly reduce all immigration, and those that simply want more stringent efforts to end illegal immigration. Opponents argue that current immigration policies and border patrol methods are too lenient and allow terrorists to infiltrate into the US. References Two short articles identified below have very different views on the impacts of illegal immigration on state economies.
