This document provides the schedule and announcements for 226 Squadron ATC for the week. On Monday the 8th, A Flight will have projects while B Flight has drill and a chaplain's hour. On Wednesday the 10th, the activities switch between the flights. The document congratulates several cadets who were successful at sports trials and an instructor going to do a glider pilot course. It announces an upcoming training weekend and asks for volunteers to help with transportation and notifying absences.

General Notes
 “Well Done!” to Cpl Searle (Wing Netball team), Cpls Crickmore & Jeffery (Wing Rugby
team), Cdt Symes (Wing Netball team reserve)and Cdt T. Trangmar (Wing Jnr Rugby squad)
for their successes at the Sports Trials last Sunday. They are a credit to the Squadron.
 Congratulations to Sgt Murray. She’s off to do a glider pilot course at RAF Syerston.
(Reminds me of picking up my Instructor Wings there 30 years ago )
 The next training weekend, March 6th & 7th, is mainly for First Class Cadets training to
become Leading cadets. There will be three topics with the HQAC exams on the Sunday
afternoon. ALL FIRST CLASS CADETS ARE EXPECTED TO ATTEND THIS.
Any parents fancy running a couple of lunch-time BBQs if we provide the makings?
 There’s a Skills Development Weekend 26-28 February that cadets should consider. A
briefing will be given next parade.
Help Please!
 We need to improve the minibus. Does anyone have a contact that might be able to install a
new radio/CD player at a good price please? We’re doing a lot more miles on trips to flying
etc these days 
 If you are using an old version of Microsoft Office (pre 2007) you can get a free upgrade and
be able to read and save in the new formats. Just search for “compatibility pack”, download
and run the patch.
 We urgently need parents to volunteer as occasional drivers for the minibus.
If you have D1 on your licence and are able to help out occasionally please let the CO know.
It would only be for local journeys a couple of times during the year and there would always
be a member of staff to supervise the cadets.
Attendance
 Attendance has improved greatly recently – “Well Done” to everyone.
Can we now improve the notification of absences please? To gain an ‘Authorised Absence’
or “Sick” entry I need to be able to inform the CO before the parade so the register can be
accurate. Ideally, cadets should make an entry in the squadron diary and get it counter-
signed well in advance. In emergencies only, an e-mail can be sent to me but please give as
much notice as possible.
