ONLINE POLICIES TO ENSURE CUSTOMER PRIVACY IN ONLINE BANKING
Introduction
With evolution in Information technology, many industries have extended their operations by going on internet. Information management primary focus was on technology initially, but later companies realized that information will be valuable to organization only if certain policies and procedures are implemented to control, govern and monitor the analysis, use, access, protection and retention of that information. Banking industry has undergone structural and performance changes over time and online banking transformation is the latest among all transitions, there are not many innovations that has transitioned the business of banking as soon as the online banking revolution. This transition enabled banking industries to offer its services to their consumers anytime and anywhere. Online banking was first implemented in US called Security First Network Bank since then this development had wide spread across all countries. Services offered by online banking has been categorized into three levels, the first one is considered as basic i.e., bank’s websites which is used to share information regarding the different services and products offered to the new and existing customers by the bank and also for answering basic queries of the customers, the second level is called transactional websites which allows its customers to provide their information or submit applications for services offered, view their account balances, access any other available services but this level doesn’t allow any fund-based transactions, and the third level is considered as fully transactional where customers can perform fun-based transaction and pay any other bulls or make any purchases. Online banking also came with many potential risks which increased the necessity to enhance the mechanism of risk prevention, to escalate the formation of standards and laws relating to e-commerce, and to strengthen the information development. The research will be primary focused on the following question: Why is it so important for banking industry to consider the factors of privacy in policy-making?
Background
Ensuring privacy is very vital objective in every organization as it relates to the trust of its customers. Though online banking has made all the operations user friendly it also created many challenges in terms of privacy of personnel and financial security. Cyber-thieves took the advantage of this evolution by pretending and accessing the online account illegally to rob money and this also led to the exposure of personal and private information to the hackers. Governance of information has emerged into banking industry to overcome such threats and control the movement and creation of information. The main objective of information governance and policy inventions in banking domain is to avoid the unauthorized access to the data, to shield the frequent use of database and network that add value to or ...

Supervised and unsupervised data mining approaches in loan default prediction IJECEIAES
Given the paramount importance of data mining in organizations and the possible contribution of a data-driven customer classification recommender systems for loan-extending financial institutions, the study applied supervised and supervised data mining approaches to derive the best classifier of loan default. A total of 900 instances with determined attributes and class labels were used for the training and cross-validation processes while prediction used 100 new instances without class labels. In the training phase, J48 with confidence factor of 50% attained the highest classification accuracy (76.85%), k-nearest neighbors (k-NN) 3 the highest (78.38%) in IBk variants, naïve Bayes has a classification accuracy of 76.65%, and logistic has 77.31% classification accuracy. k-NN 3 and logistic have the highest classification accuracy, F-measures, and kappa statistics. Implementation of these algorithms to the test set yielded 48 non-defaulters and 52 defaulters for k-NN 3 while 44 non-defaulters and 56 defaulters under logistic. Implications were discussed in the paper.

You have produced a reasonable rationale for conducting the study, but must be clearer with your research questions as two are very similar. Your literature review is reasonable, but includes some very dated references which are now irrelevant.
Your methodology could be more detailed as you must explain why you are choosing the methods that you are.
Your potential outcomes are reasonably clear. Overall, a reasonable attempt but failing to show a current research gap.

The proposal shows a good study background with a clear aim and objectives. The rationale and significance of the study are not clear. You need to use a specific theory to understand the subject matter. The review seems to be done on mobile banking in general. It should include ideas about security issues with mobile banking. The review needs to be more critical. Research methodology needs to be connected to the research questions. You need to show the number of studies you are going to systematically review. If Meta-analysis is the main method to answer the research questions, you need to review studies on the same topic and show how you are going to do Meta-analysis with an appropriate analysis tool. Potential outcomes need to be explained with good evidence of analysis. The writing structure is fine but you need to improve your English with good grammar and academic writing. Referencing follows the Harvard style despite a few journal references have been used in the proposal.

The banking sector has incorporated emerging changes to meet customer requirements and enhance growth. Merger and acquisitions are one of the major changes in the banking industry. Mergers and acquisitions have created scope for the adoption of disruptive inventions in banking technology. The adoption of financial technology (FinTech) over recent years has changed the landscape of Indian public sector banks. These disruptive innovations improve the performance, efficiency, and quality of services of public sector banks. Technological innovation in banking has increased the competency level of public sector banks. Customers are interested to adopt these disruptive inventions because the electronic mode is having more scope and is convenient for them. This study identifies the financial progress and inventions in the banking sector. The study aims to know the changes brought by disruptive technologies on the services of public sector banks.
Internet banking is becoming increasingly popular due to convenience and flexibility it offers. Banks are forced to promote online banking services to enhance its operations
with reduced cost of operations. This particular research has been conducted to evaluate the customer perceptions towards internet banking in the United Kingdom. A sample of 100 UK based banking customers was selected. The sample selection was made by the convenience sampling technique. Qualitative and quantitative methods have been applied to evaluate the research objectives. Through descriptive analysis of research findings, it has been evaluated that customers perceive internet banking services reliable and secure. However, some of the older respondents did not feel
convenient to use internet banking and they might have higher security concerns while using internet banking. The dimensions of privacy, security, convenience and time
savings was perceived positively by the customers. The research represents future implications for the internet bankers who can attract more online customers by arranging
stronger measures of security, and privacy. The results of this particular research are limited to the sample size and questionnaire made. The future researchers have the
opportunity to expand the boundary of knowledge of current research by taking a large and diverse sample.
DETERMINANTS AFFECTING THE USER'S INTENTION TO USE MOBILE BANKING APPLICATIONSIAEME Publication
The banking and financial services industries are experiencing increased technology penetration. Among them, the banking industry has made technological advancements to better serve the general populace. The economy focused on transforming the banking sector's system into a cashless, paperless, and faceless one. The researcher wants to evaluate the user's intention for utilising a mobile banking application. The study also examines the variables affecting the user's behaviour intention when selecting specific applications for financial transactions. The researcher employed a well-structured questionnaire and a descriptive study methodology to gather the respondents' primary data utilising the snowball sampling technique. The study includes variables like performance expectations, effort expectations, social impact, enabling circumstances, and perceived risk. Each of the aforementioned variables has a major impact on how users utilise mobile banking applications. The outcome will assist the service provider in comprehending the user's history with mobile banking applications.
Conceptual model of internet banking adoption with perceived risk and trust f...TELKOMNIKA JOURNAL
Understanding the primary factors of internet banking (IB) acceptance is critical for both banks and users; nevertheless, our knowledge of the role of users’ perceived risk and trust in IB adoption is limited. As a result, we develop a conceptual model by incorporating perceived risk and trust into the technology acceptance model (TAM) theory toward the IB. The proper research emphasized that the most essential component in explaining IB adoption behavior is behavioral intention to use IB adoption. TAM is helpful for figuring out how elements that affect IB adoption are connected to one another. According to previous literature on IB and the use of such technology in Iraq, one has to choose a theoretical foundation that may justify the acceptance of IB from the customer’s perspective. The conceptual model was therefore constructed using the TAM as a foundation. Furthermore, perceived risk and trust were added to the TAM dimensions as external factors. The key objective of this work was to extend the TAM to construct a conceptual model for IB adoption and to get sufficient theoretical support from the existing literature for the essential elements and their relationships in order to unearth new insights about factors responsible for IB adoption.

ewly appointed Police Chief Alexandra Delatorre of the Anytown Police Department (APD) has been attending several town and city council meetings whereby she has heard numerous complaints about the increase in armed robberies being committed by the local transients (homeless people) in and near the Anytown Gallery Shopping Mall. Chief Delatorre checked with the crime analysis unit of the department to obtain information on the crime statistics for robberies in the area of the shopping mall. The crime analysis unit determined that there was 75% increase in the number of robberies between 2009 and 2011. The chief attended a meeting with the shopping mall executives and learned that there had been a steady increase in the number of businesses leaving the mall, which served as major sources for employment and revenue for the city.
One week ago, Chief Delatorre drove to the shopping mall one evening at 9:30 p.m., before the mall was about to close, and discovered that several sections of the subterranean multilevel parking lot had poor lighting and no security gate that secured the parking area, and the guard shack was in an obscure portion of the first level and appeared to not have been used for quite some time. She also found what appeared to be small “camps” of blankets, trash, old and dirty clothes, and metal shopping carts that belonged to different local grocery stores in the far corners of the parking lot on the lower two levels. There was also a very strong odor of urine in the area of the “camps.”
Chief Delatorre has convened you and your team to make recommendations on addressing the problem of the robberies at the shopping mall. She wants to implement a program using the community-oriented policing (COP) philosophy. She has several specific areas that need to be considered for the COP program to reduce or even eliminate the robberies at the shopping mall. She would like to give the program a name. You are to compose a written memo that addresses the following::

Performing Effective Project Monitoring and Risk Management
Imagine that you are employed as an IT project manager by a prestigious coffeemaker organization. This organization operates many coffee shops within the region and would like to promote its brand by creating a mobile application that will provide its customers with the ability to view the nearest coffee shop location within their geographical area.
As a member of the software development team, you estimate a total project cost of $150,000. You have designated control points to measure project progress. At control point 2, the following data is available:
Budget Cost of Work Performed
$ 24,000
Actual Cost of Work Performed
$ 27,500
There are various stakeholders that are interested in the progress of the project. These stakeholders include the marketing management team (internal customers), software designers, programmers, testers, and upper management. The software development team has attempted to release a mobile application of this magnitude in the past; however, lack of sponsorship, mobile development expertise, and technical infrastructure has limited the team’s success.
Write a four to six (4-6) page paper in which you:
Identify at least four (4) attributes of the mobile application development project that can be measured and controlled and evaluate how each is a critical factor for the success of the project.
Generate a project plan summary of the various project milestones. Develop a WBS that details work packages required to complete project scope.
Develop a workflow model that can be used to inspect and detect defects during the acceptance of this mobile product through the use of graphical tools in Microsoft Word or Visio, or an open source alternative such as Dia. Note: The graphically depicted solution is not included in the required page length.
Describe how the defects detected during the acceptance of the mobile application should be reported and explain the circumstances in which a defect may not require reporting.
Analyze the communication needs of the different project stakeholders. Explain the types of project status reports that would be useful to each.
Compute the cost variance, schedule variance, cost performance index, schedule performance index, and estimated actual cost using the information presented at control point 2. Interpret the project schedule and budget status from the calculations.
Explain how work package, binary tracking, and earned valued reporting can be used effectively during the maintenance phase of the software life cycle if various change requests may be assigned to individuals and processed on an individual basis.
Develop a risk register that will document all of the estimated risks. Assign one (1) risk management technique for each risk and explain the basis for your selection.
Use at least three (3) quality resources in this assignment. Note: Wikipedia and similar Websites do not qualify as quality resources.

50 words minimum
This week's audio is very informative but one point stuck out to me the most. I found it interesting that a big issue is the struggle to have communication between agencies, municipalities, and federally. It brought up that an example of this is communication through radio. Each individual has completely different equipment which makes communication with anyone outside of the agency via radio impossible. You would think with today's technology they would find away to maintain easy communication between all emergency related organizations. This would ensure that they all are on the same page and can have effective cooperation during big emergencies such as 9/11. What are the methods of communication that currently exist and how do they help different emergency related agencies stay connected?
The first Amendment is a so important to our way of life so when it is abused and people die should the media be held responsible? There are attempts to hold gunmakers liable for gun deaths so is it the same with media when they provide inaccurate information that may then cause violent protest?
Given the perpetual imbalance between funding and needs in emergency services and criminal justice, what are possible sources of funding for a emergency management training, equipment, and sustainability?
The Department of Homeland Security and FEMA as well as various state and federal grants can be requested to assist in funding the various state and local agencies in their Emergency Management related maintenance and training. The equipment and personnel are expensive to have and to keep current in training so any help with grants and donations is always appreciated. Could local fund drives help?
Do you support a national standard for communication equipment for emergency management? If not, why not? How would agencies pay for interoperability communications?

500 word discussion on the passage to answer question at the botto.docxGrazynaBroyles24
500 word discussion on the passage to answer question at the bottom
The authors of our text have suggested that there are no obvious or absolute "priority relations" among the six basic moral values. This means that in any conflicts posed by applying different values to cases, there are no general rules for deciding which values are more important. We have to take each case on its merits.
They might be right about this. It's a commonly held perspective on moral values.
In the Lecture I discussed the relation between Justice and Compassion.
We sometimes encounter conflicts between these two values, and I think the story of Robin Hood is the classic tale of such conflict. Robin Hood acted compassionately in robbing from the rich to give to the poor.
Now I'm assuming that the rich deserved their wealth, and did not acquire it unjustly. That is, I am supposing that Robin Hood was not moved by his sense of justice, on this count (but see below). This is a controversial assumption, for there are those who would argue that the rich (or at least, the inordinately rich) could not have become that rich without transgressing some moral principle. But I will make this assumption in order to simplify the discussion. So let us assume that the rich people Robin Hood took from had not made their fortune unjustly. But even this does not mean that Robin Hood was wrong to take from them. It could be, from the perspective of some sort of duty theory, that the rich had a duty to take care of the poor, and they had failed in this moral duty. So Robin Hood was correcting their immoral behavior (not in obtaining the wealth, but in not dispensing it as they ought to). He was moved by the suffering of the poor, and the immorality of the rich in not responding to this suffering, which makes him a compassionate and moral hero. (By the way, I am not committed to this view--I am mentioning it to show you that there is much more to be discussed here than might meet the eye of our 21st. century, prior to philosophical reflection.
The questions, therefore, are:
Is Robin Hood acting justly, or unjustly but because he is moved by compassion?
Could a compassionate Robin Hood ever be
right
to violate the rules of justice in order to alleviate suffering?
With regard to the second of these, I assume that the standard answer in our 21st. Century culture would be: No; justice should always win in conflicts with compassion. So there is at least one absolute priority relation between two of the basic moral values in the set.
Do you agree? Why or why not?

Scenario
You are a probation officer and have a client, Paul Rosen, who was recently released from prison and is a registered sex offender. One of the obligations of a probationer is to keep in close contact with his probation officer. This particular probationer failed to maintain contact with you for a period of 4 months. During your effort to find Paul Rosen, you find out that Paul was involved with a woman who has three children, ages 6, 9, and 14. You feel compelled to contact this woman and find out whether she knew that Paul was a registered sex offender who is out of prison on probation. During the conversation, she was appreciative that you had concerns but explained that Paul told her that he was involved with a 16-year-old, but that the girl had lied to him about her age. She said his conviction was the fault of the girl's parents, who convinced the daughter to press charges as a way to keep him away from her. She said it was not a big deal because the girl lied to Paul about her age. During your conversation with the woman, you feel compelled to tell her about John's past of molesting two girls, ages 4 and 7.
Analyze this scenario, and discuss the following:
Describe how you would handle this situation using normative ethics?
In applied ethics, you do not deal with the facts of individual cases. You focus on applying ethical rules to a class of cases. Describe the class or type of case represented here.

Interagency
is relatively recent as a term, yet as a concept, it has been in practice to varying degrees for as long as nations have had governments, fought wars, engaged in international commerce, or extended diplomacy. What is arguably a recent expansion of the interagency concept is the level of inclusiveness—that is, the broader scope of who is invited to participate in interagency activities. Also recent is the compulsion to use it, be it by leaders, for policies, or just from a plain "need" to employ an interagency approach to decision making and problem solving.

June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. which the use of
mobile banking by the SMEs affects their financial
performance. The
research aims at looking at both the negative and the positive
effects of
mobile banking on SMEs/
II. Research Question or Hypothesis: State clearly what your
research interest is. Define your research
question/hypothesis and the main objectives of your research
(100 words).
The alternative hypothesis for the study is that SMEs that use
mobile banking have a better
3. financial performance when compared to the SMEs that do not
use mobile banking. Mobile
banking services give the SMEs an opportunity to access
financial services without the need of
them going physically to the bank. With mobile banking SMEs
are able to access low interest
loans which they can use to grow and expand their businesses.
The hypothesis is that use of
mobile banking by the SMEs gives them a higher chance to
grow and expand as opposed to
the businesses which are still using the traditional banking
methods.
II. Review of Literature/Background: Make a synthesis of the

• Summary:
▪ Concepts
4. One of the concepts which is related to the research topic is the
concept of mobile banking
which is defined as the access of banking services using a
mobile device such as a smartphone
instead of going to the bank physically. Mobile banking allows
the customers and users to access
services such as withdrawals, money transfer, account
statements from their phones and from the
comfort of their homes without the need to go to the bank
physically. The second concept is
financial performance which is the measure of how a business is
doing based on revenues such as
sales and profit margins. High revenues are associated with
better financial performance. The third
concept related to the topic is SMEs and these refer to
businesses which are small or mediu m in
size.
▪ Theories / Models (1 or 2 theories or models)
One of the theories applicable to the topic is the innovation
diffusion theory and this is
because mobile banking is as a result of innovation and
advancements in technology. The theory
explains how new ideas and patterns spread. Initially most
5. people were using the traditional
banking where they needed to avail themselves physically at the
bank so that they would be able to
access financial services. However, with time mobile banking
was introduced and more people
embraced mobile banking. The idea started with a few people
but spread so fast.
Technology acceptance model is also useful in the selected
research topic and this is
because through this model people accepted to move away from
other forms of banking and
embrace the new technology. Based on the theory there are
various factors which users consider
when they want to decide whether they should accept a new
technology or not. One of the factors
is the ease of use; mobile banking is very simple to access and
use on smartphones even with the
least technology know how. Also, the perceived usefulness is
high and this is because the users
get to benefit from convenience of banking of their homes.
• Trends (current trends or practices related to your research
topic)
Mobile banking is now being used to help pay bills and
suppliers in business. With mobile
6. banking apps and access business people are able to pay their
vendors through cashless
transactions. This method is highly preferred among the
business people and this is because it is
highly convenient when compared to using cash. Also, another
trend related to the topic is digital
credit and this is where the individuals are able to access
different loans from financial institutions
using their mobile devices.
• Context presentation
The mobile banking apps and platforms are easily accessible in
smartphones where the
businesses can download and install the apps. Most of the
businesses need to bank the money
which they make from sales and hence need banking services.
Mobile banking exists as an
alternative to these businesses to help them transact with
suppliers and even save money to
achieve their financial goals.
III. Research Methodology: Clearly indicate the methods and
techniques which you are planning to use
7. to gather information and investigate the identified problem.
IV. Selected Bibliography: Please indicate a representative list
of the main bibliographical sources you
intend to utilize for your dissertation (no more than 20). Please
provide full citations.
For this research, the preferred method is the use of
questionnaires to help collect data
about the impact of the mobile banking on SMEs. The research
methodology is a quantitative
research methodology which means that the study will analyze
numerical data to arrive at the
relationship between the different variables.
