The genre of music I’m going to be doing is soul music. I’ve chosen this particular genre because I
myself find soul music very touching and interesting as the rhythm of music is very peaceful. My
target audience is the older generation rather than the young generation, Older people ages 25 and
up. This is because younger people around 12-17 would be more interested in pop music and
magazines rather than classical, soul and blues songs. My magazine will be promoting the artists of
my chosen genre. My magazine will be niche as it is only targeted towards a certain age group.
