Symbolic Sexuality

A series of storyboards/ film stills that explores the
sexual tensions in Hitchcock’s films

Example:
In Psycho, Norman Bates is having a conversation
with Marion Crane. At the same time, one of his
hands is stroking a dead animal and the other hand
lingers on his crotch.
Books I need to read
1. Hitchcock motifs by Michael Walker

2. The Art of Photography: An Approach to Personal Expression

3. Spellbound by Beauty: Alfred Hitchcock and His Leading Ladies
by Donald Spoto

4. The Art of Looking in Hitchcock’s Rear Window by Stefan Sharff

5. Alfred Hitchcock: A Life in Darkness and Light by Patrick
Mcgilligan

6. The Women Who Knew Too Much: Hitchcock and Feminist
Theory by Tania Modleski
