This document contains three paragraphs describing characteristics of different types of ferns. The first paragraph describes ferns with sori borne parallel to the pinna midvein on each side and continuous from base to apex. The second paragraph describes ferns with monomorphic, pinnate-pinnatifid leaves that are translucent and have round sori with indusia and sporangia with glandular hairs. The third paragraph describes ferns with monomorphic leaves and round, kidney, or moon-shaped sori with kidney, horseshoe, peltate or circular indusia.
