a circular field of dual-axis mirrors
(heliostats) that follow the sun, the
solar radiation is concentrated on a
receiver located on the top of the
tower. The receiver transfers all the
heat to a heat transfer fluid (HTF), such
as water or molten salts, to produce
steam that runs the conventional steam
turbine to generate electricity.

can incorporate steam storage systems,
allowing for up to three hours of
production at maximum capacity.
