Description of Business Idea
Therma is a new heated water bottle that will be introduced to a global market. The innovative bottle offers new
technology to improve usability and functionality. The bottle will appeal to a range of age groups, activity levels,
and income brackets. Therma will differentiate itself in a crowded marketplace by offering unique functions
including exceptional heat retention and a heating element that allows consumers to heat their beverages on the
go.
Problem
Therma solves three main problems: lack of accessible hot water while adventuring, difficulty of current solutions to
heating water, and the fact that water bottles don't have great heat retention. While adventuring in the cold, there
isn't a place to get hot water, current solutions to water heating are difficult and require heavy equipment, and
water bottles can't retain heat for very long.
Solution
Therma provides accessible hot water without large amounts of equipment, keeps drinks warm all day with
excellent heat retention due to a double vacuum sealed wall and reheating capabilities using heat coil technology,
and is a convenient way to heat water on the go since it only takes 15 minutes to heat up water to 130 degrees
Fahrenheit.
Market
There is nothing like Therma on the market. There are other stainless steel water bottles and heated mugs but
nothing is exactly like our product. Our target market includes young adults who live in cold, mountainous areas
such as northern Utah and Colorado. Our target market includes people who enjoy adventuring out in the cold and
are willing to spend money on outdoor products.
