2. Summary:
Here I will explain the relationship between acquisition, learning and ability
to produce phrases in a foreign language.
also what theories can we take in practice to learn a new language and what
are the most effective.
3. Introduction:
The term second language teaching refers to all didactic activity in the field
of learning non-mother tongues, which aims to acquire language differences
by learners. It includes: how can we learn it ?, what things can we do to learn
the language faster? and practices to improve vocabulary.
The teaching of second languages has undergone significant changes
throughout history. Traditional methods, coming from the teaching of
classical languages, domination during the years of language teaching. The
approach of his teaching was based on learning and the application of
grammar rules.
New approaches arise that aim at the acquisition of communicative
competence. The communicative teaching of the language is probably the
most relevant and most considered approach in the current teaching of
second languages.
4. Theorical framework
Theories of second-language acquisition:
are various theories and hypotheses in the field of second language
acquisition about how people learn a second language. Research in second-
language acquisition is closely related to several disciplines
including linguistics, sociolinguistics, psychology, neuroscience,
and education, and consequently most theories of second-language
acquisition can be identified as having roots in one of them.
Over the past 20 years, more than 100 books and articles on this subject
have been published. His theory of second language acquisition has had and
continues to have a great impact in all areas of research and teaching of a
second language since the 1980s.
5. Methodology:
The importance of the student's attitude towards foreign culture has been
proven. The language a person uses is connected with the way he perceives
his identity and his world. When a person has a positive impression of the
other culture, this can increase and enrich the learning process. On the other
hand, if a trainee has a negative attitude, this will create strong internal
barriers.
Not all students have preconceived notions that influence them in this way.
For these students, their experiences in the classroom become very
important. So the instructor occupies a unique and powerful position to
influence the formation of a positive attitude and motivation that students
are forming on the culture in question.
What many people who have not tried to learn a second language do not
understand is how difficult it is compared to learning their native language.
This difficulty is the reason why motivation, attitude and strategies are so
important.
When considering which learning strategies are better, we start with what
the research has revealed and then evaluate the usefulness of each theory in
its practical application.
6. Conclusions:
In conclusion we can say that the strategies help us to improve the language,
they are very useful when time to learn a second language and that depends
on the desire we have to learn the language, to improve and communicate
with other people of that language when we want.
