Questions will be asked of the audience
straight away. The film will begin with the
sound of punching and crowd cheering. The
names of the actors and production team
will roll across the black screen whilst
punches continue to fly. When the directors
name appears on the screen the sound of
someone hitting the canvas will be followed
with a loud roar from the crowd but still no
picture. The film will then begin, but the
audience will not be show the scene they
were hearing.

The idea of the film is based on the life of
Mike Tyson a super talented boxer who
would go into a ring and knockout whoever
was put in front of him. Until he started to
get involved with the wrong people and
drugs became an issue. Christian Bale
doesn’t listen to the guidance of Sylvester
Stallone and ends up fighting Michael Jai
White for the world title.

Narrative
There will be lost of close ups used in the
film to show the affect on someone at such
a high level of sport. There will also be a lot
of fly on the wall style shots used during
drug and sex scenes to show the audience
that something is not right and that the
character should not be or does no belong
in this environment.

Conventions
The actors like Christian Bale and
Sylvester Stallone will already have a
large fan base which will help the appeal
of the film to the general public.
