Jesus travels to Galilee where the Galileans welcome him for the miracles he performed. In Cana, an official's son becomes ill and the official hears that Jesus has returned from Judea. He asks Jesus to heal his son who is near death. Jesus challenges the official's faith but tells him his son will live. The official believes Jesus' word and his son recovers at the appointed time, causing the official and his whole household to believe. This is Jesus' second sign upon returning from Judea, as he fulfills his mission and makes himself known.
