The War: God vs Evil
1. The War: God vs Evil
The Wickedness of Evil
Rev 12:7-8 7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and
his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon
fought and his angels, 8 And prevailed not; neither was
their place found any more in heaven.
Rom 7:23 But I see another law in my members, warring
against the law of my mind, and bringing me into
captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
1Tim 1:18 This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy,
according to the prophecies which went before on thee,
that thou by them mightest war a good warfare;
1Pet 2:11 Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and
pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the
soul;
I. The Mind Matters
2. Gen 6:5
5 And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in
the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of
his heart was only evil continually.
Jer 4:14 O Jerusalem, wash thine heart from
wickedness, that thou mayest be saved. How long
shall thy vain thoughts lodge within thee?
Ezek 8:12 Then said he unto me, Son of man, hast
thou seen what the ancients of the house of Israel do
in the dark, every man in the chambers of his
imagery? for they say, The LORD seeth us not; the
LORD hath forsaken the earth.
Eph 2:1-3 1 And you hath he quickened, who were
dead in trespasses and sins;
2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the
course of this world, according to the prince of the
power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in
the children of disobedience:
3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in
times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the
desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by
nature the children of wrath, even as others.
3. II. Actions Attract Attention
1Sam 2:3
3 Talk no more so exceeding proudly; let not arrogancy
come out of your mouth: for the LORD is a God of
knowledge, and by him actions are weighed.
Gen 13:13
13 But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before
the LORD exceedingly.
Gen 18:20
20 And the LORD said, Because the cry of Sodom and
Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very
grievous;
Gen 13:13 But the men of Sodom were wicked and
sinners before the LORD exceedingly.
Isa 3:9 The shew of their countenance doth witness
against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom,
they hide it not. Woe unto their soul! for they have
rewarded evil unto themselves.
4. Jer 23:14 I have seen also in the prophets of
Jerusalem an horrible thing: they commit adultery,
and walk in lies: they strengthen also the hands of
evildoers, that none doth return from his wickedness:
they are all of them unto me as Sodom, and the
inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah.
2Pet 2:6-8 6 And turning the cities of Sodom and
Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an
overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that
after should live ungodly; 7 And delivered just Lot,
vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked: 8
(For that righteous man dwelling among them, in
seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day
to day with their unlawful deeds;)
2Pet 2:10 But chiefly them that walk after the flesh
in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government.
Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid
to speak evil of dignities.
Jude 1:7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the
cities about them in like manner, giving themselves
over to fornication, and going after strange flesh,
are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance
of eternal fire.

2Sam 3:39
39 And I am this day weak, though anointed king; and
these men the sons of Zeruiah be too hard for me: the
LORD shall reward the doer of evil according to his
wickedness.
1Kgs 2:5 Moreover thou knowest also what Joab the
son of Zeruiah did to me, and what he did to the two
captains of the hosts of Israel, unto Abner the son of
Ner, and unto Amasa the son of Jether, whom he
slew, and shed the blood of war in peace, and put the
blood of war upon his girdle that was about his loins,
and in his shoes that were on his feet.
1Kgs 2:6 Do therefore according to thy wisdom, and
let not his hoar head go down to the grave in peace.
1Kgs 2:33 Their blood shall therefore return upon the
head of Joab, and upon the head of his seed for ever:
but upon David, and upon his seed, and upon his
house, and upon his throne, shall there be peace for
ever from the LORD.
6. 1Kgs 2:34 So Benaiah the son of Jehoiada went up,
and fell upon him, and slew him: and he was buried in
his own house in the wilderness.
Ps 7:16 His mischief shall return upon his own head,
and his violent dealing shall come down upon his
own pate.
Ps 28:4 Give them according to their deeds, and
according to the wickedness of their endeavours:
give them after the work of their hands; render to
them their desert.
2Tim 4:14 Alexander the coppersmith did me much
evil: the Lord reward him according to his works:
IV. The Deception of The Wicked
Prov 12:12
12 The wicked desireth the net of evil men: but the root
of the righteous yieldeth fruit.
7. Prov 1:17-19 17 Surely in vain the net is spread in
the sight of any bird. 18 And they lay wait for their
own blood; they lurk privily for their own lives. 19 So
are the ways of every one that is greedy of gain;
which taketh away the life of the owners thereof.
Prov 29:5 A man that flattereth his neighbour
spreadeth a net for his feet.
Prov 29:6 In the transgression of an evil man there
is a snare: but the righteous doth sing and rejoice.
Ps 9:15 The heathen are sunk down in the pit that
they made: in the net which they hid is their own foot
taken.
Ps 10:9 He lieth in wait secretly as a lion in his den:
he lieth in wait to catch the poor: he doth catch the
poor, when he draweth him into his net.
Jer 5:26-28 26 For among my people are found
wicked men: they lay wait, as he that setteth snares;
they set a trap, they catch men. 27 As a cage is full of
birds, so are their houses full of deceit: therefore they
are become great, and waxen rich. 28 They are waxen
8. fat, they shine: yea, they overpass the deeds of the
wicked: they judge not the cause, the cause of the
fatherless, yet they prosper; and the right of the
needy do they not judge.

Mark 7:21-23
21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil
thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,
22 Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit,
lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:
23 All these evil things come from within, and defile the
man.
VI. The Uniform of The Enemy
1John 3:12
12 Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his
brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own
works were evil, and his brother's righteous.
