Faith that saves is a working faith, we can't separate our faith from our works, there is a difference between works of the law and christian works, works are involved in our salvation, we will be judged by our works not our faith.
Tomorrow we are starting a new series of study:
“The New Man” is a seminar that will focus on the spirit of man, its soul and its body.
We will learn the properties of each one of these three parts of man.
Our spirit is called to be the ruling part of us, actually, our spirit is the main part of our being, and is the place where the spirit of God dwells in.
We meet in Room #3 at CTF Toronto Wednesdays from 7:00 – 9:00 pm. I invite you to come and participate with us in this discovery of how to let our spirit become the ruler of our life.

Overcoming temptation and hard times in the power of the Holy Spirit. Jesus was led by the Spirit into the desert to be tempted by the devil. He was full of the Spirit when he began and he went through the temptation in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Hebrews 11:1-6. The Importance of faith.
I. FAITH IS VERY IMPORTANT - ABOVE ALL
II. FAITH IS AVAILABLE - TAKING
III. FAITH IS A PROTECTION - THE SHIELD OF FAITH
IV. FAITH IS POWERFUL - WITH WHICH YOU SHALL BE ABLE TO QUENCH
V. FAITH IS EXTENSIVE - ALL THE FIERY DARTS OF THE WICKED ONE
James 2:14 What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him?
My friend, you don’t need to keep waiting until the Lord tells you what your call is. He already stated it in the scriptures. He charged us to do the very same things that he was doing. He was not going to ask us to do something that we were not able to do. He put it in our spirit everything that we could ever need to do what he commanded us to do.
Heb 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
Contentment, Philippians 4, I have learned in whatever state I am in to be content. Stand firm in the Lord. Promote unity among brethren. Always rejoice. Be gentle to all. Overcome anxiety. Get your thinking right. Trust God.
Anxiety and worry is a major challenge many of us contend with. In this message we share Biblical practices that help us overcome worry and anxiety. We can walk in perfect peace that come from God Himself.

Philippians 1:12-14 Magnifying Christ. John said Jesus must increase and he must decrease. Christians should be magnifying Christ and diminishing themselves. We do this by defending the gospel, preaching Christ, trusting Christ, living without shame, living for Christ, producing fruit, desiring to be with Him, Putting others needs first, fellowshipping fellow christians, working together with other christians.

This PowerPoint presentation was created to accompany a lecture on the division of ancient Israel into two kingdoms (Israel and Judah) and the subsequent conquest of these kingdoms by the Assyrian, Babylonian, and Persian Empires. The fall of Israel and Judah resulted in a diaspora (scattering) of peoples across the Eastern Mediterranean and Middle Eastern regions. After Cyrus the Great of Persia conquered the Babylonian Empire, he allowed Jews to return to Jerusalem to rebuild their temple. In the centuries that followed, a messianic tradition developed, which promised a deliverer who would restore the Kingdom of Judah. Zionism emerged in the late 19th century with a similar goal of restoring a sovereign Jewish homeland. The modern nation of Israel, founded in 1948, represents the realization of the goals of the Zionist movement. To this day, modern Israelis contest over this land with its neighbors much like their ancestors did three thousand years ago.

Education and the social web promise or perilNorm Friesen
Facebook and other social media have been hailed as delivering the promise of a new socially engaged education learning and educational experiences for undergraduate, self-directed and other sectors. A theoretical and historical analysis of these media in the light of earlier media transformations however puts this into question. Specifically, the analysis provided here questions whether social media platforms satisfy a crucial component of learning – fostering the capacity for debate and disagreement. Using mMedia theorist Raymond William's analytical frame that emphasisesis on advertising in his analysis of the content and form of the medium, television, allows us towe weigh the structural conditions of dominant social networking sites as constraints for learning, using his critical analytical frame(?). Williams’ critique focuses on the structural characteristics of sequence, rhythm and flow of television as a cultural form. Our critique proposes information design, architecture and above all algorithm as similar structural characteristics that apply to social networks as a different but related cultural form. We shed new light on media influencing non-commercial television content (as Williams's terms sequence, rhythm and flow account for) by proposing that the operation of commerce in non-commercial Web 2.0 content can be correspondingly accounted for by informational design, architecture and algorithm. Illustrating the ongoing salience of media theory for researchstudying on-line learning, the article updates Williams work while leveraging it in a critical discussion of the suitability of some social media for education.

Realizing your personal destiny and call in Christ by Prof Thio - 19/11/11zionyaf
Prof Thio will be speaking on the topic of realizing our personal destiny and call in Christ. As God's elect, we have a calling to fulfill. Paul expressed this as a prayer to the Thessalonians, "With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may bring to fruition your every desire for goodness and your every deed prompted by faith." (2 Thessalonians 1:11)
Are you affirmed of your calling in Christ? Have you been seeking to know and obey wherever God calls you to? Is your spiritual walk with Him deadening?
Prof Thio will be speaking on a topic that is particularly relevant in a world where secular humanist philosophies reign dominant. That humanity, instead of God, is the measure of all things - the very motivation of pride that led to the building of the Tower of Babel.
The talk will be centered on 2 Cor 10:5, where Paul declared against such forms of philosophy, "We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ." Paul further warned in Col 2:8,
"See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ."
The "Learning and Living the God-centered life" had a retreat in which the theme was The Gospel. Here is our Friday night teaching was specifically designed to exhort each of us to stay steadfast in Christ!

Preaching according to God's heart, Follow the will of my heavenly father => ...franktsao4
When we preach, if our goal is to make others understand the content of the preaching according to the world’s methods. Is this God’s will? In this chapter, we will discuss from God’s will, from salvation, to love, to the establishment of faith, because only by increasing everyone’s faith can there be the possibility of indwelling Jesus Christ. Only in this way we can achieve preaching purpose. This chapter is to try to explain how it can increase everyone’s confidence through preaching.

Homily: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity Sunday 2024.docxJames Knipper
Countless volumes have been written trying to explain the mystery of three persons in one true God, leaving us to resort to metaphors such as the three-leaf clover to try to comprehend the Divinity. Many of us grew up with the quintessential pyramidal Trinity structure of God at the top and Son and Spirit in opposite corners. But what if we looked at this ‘mystery’ from a different perspective? What if we shifted our language of God as a being towards the concept of God as love? What if we focused more on the relationship within the Trinity versus the persons of the Trinity? What if stopped looking at God as a noun…and instead considered God as a verb? Check it out…

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.
