All the best for 2013
One of my books for you...that reminds me that like in the perpetual move of the earth, sometimes we are the bird who is free and must learn to be humble and sometimes the bird who is trapped and knows no better...
That is the eternal dance of our human experience.

2. As the super-giant star
approaches the end of its life,
with no more fuel to burn and make it shine,
two tiny birds soared from the depth of its dying heart
3. Up into the void they went.
Flying blindly - utterly alone.
With no stop or slowing down...
where would they go?
4. One of the birds landed safely on the ground on a world divided and stuck.
It was its first time ever to see outside what was once inside.
"What is all this wonder shining up above?" the tiny bird thought.
Thousand of stars glowing higher up looked at the bird in its glassy home.
From a distance they silently saw how lonely he was in the Land of forgetfulness.
5. The other bird, whose glassy home pierced the ground, had it worse.
Blind from light, space and air
the tiny bird's first day was neither soft, nor sweet but night all around.
6. Arrogant grew the bird who thought
that his mortal eyes could see the wonders of the universe above.
In the most presumptuous ways
instructed the bird who could not see the stars
on how to understand and live his life
making him believe that because his life was easier, he was, as a matter of fact, a better bird.
7. In agony and in permanent blindness,
the bird who just knew about the stars but could not see them,
grew a very bright and inquisitive mind.
"You will be punished if you do not stay still!"
told him the bird who saw all that was for him to see.
For the blind bird to imagine a place brighter than the obvious nightly sky
was a blasphemy and a sin of incredible proportions.
8. One day, in the perpetual movement of the soul
the earth swallowed the bird and left the other one above.
The bird who thought he was privileged and better
saw this divine act as a proof for those in sin
sentenced to dwell down deep below the surface.
9. Dark, dark nights for the bird who died to see
the magnificent sun made up of millions of glowing stars.
And he indeed thought for a while that he was but the worst of the transgressors
for dreaming alive for a brighter and better world.
10. And one day, when he thought about giving up his dream,
a particular warmth of compassion and love,
filled his glassy home with a subtle light ... and restored hope.
16. to learn that it was only the light, and not it's bearer
that would actually set him free....
17. He used all his mighty power to move the earth
so his friend would also be touched by the light
and be free.
18. In motion was the world forever spinning
and the bird who thought was blind,
who thought was the worse of the transgressors,
who though was lonely in the land of forgetfulness,
saw for the first time the motion of the time, of the days, of the months
which makes the heartbeat of the earth.
19. Since then there are two birds of the universe making sure the world moves around so
new birds who land in dual and stuck worlds could see the light and experience the
true meaning of freedom from within.
