Three trees on a hill discussed their hopes of becoming a treasure chest, a mighty ship, and the tallest tree. Woodsmen cut them down - the first became a feed box, the second a small fishing boat, and the third was left alone. The first held the baby Jesus, realizing it held the greatest treasure. The second carried Jesus and his disciples, and when a storm arose Jesus calmed it. The third was used to crucify Jesus, realizing it was close to God. Though their lives didn't go as planned, God had better purposes for each.
