answer the 8 guiding
questions on our website.
CONSIDERATION

Applications are analyzed
for feasibility by subject
matter reviewers, then
ranked by the Advisory
Board according to several
criteria (appropriateness,
relevance, professionalism,
potential, etc.).
FUNDING
STEP 3
Within 4-6 weeks of the
application deadline, the
Board of Directors approves
the release of funds and
recipients receive their
microgrant by check or e-
transfer.

women, based in Eastern North Carolina.
Stardust’s micro grant helped Tami
Thomas, the owner, build crab-shedding

This social venture will increase the food
security and spendable income of refugee
communities by supplying them with a low-
cost direct substitute for firewood,
briquettes made of agricultural waste.
Stardust’s grant helped fund their pilot
project at the Timagolo refugee camp in
Cameroon in summer 2017.
