Jesus was crucified at 33 years old, which was considered the worst form of capital punishment. He was nailed to the cross through his wrists and feet, suffering for over 3 hours before dying from blood loss and asphyxiation. The scourging and crown of thorns inflicted severe wounds all over his body. By enduring this extreme torture and humiliation, Jesus sacrificed himself to pay for humanity's sins and provide a way for all people, including the reader, to be saved and have a relationship with God.
