The above article collected over 500 samples from Instagram posts two years prior to publishing it’s results to examined how suicide-related posts were portrayed, the extent to which these posts adhered to World Health Organization media guidelines (Links to an external site.) for preventing contagion, and how caring was represented. According to the NurseKillam video(2013), the researchers used the intervention method to provoke a measurable result and it was randomized controlled trial, because there was in intervention, control group and random sample. This article did not meet the qualitative research characteristics because there weren’t any explanations of individuals experiences of and cultures or particular issues (ChrisFlipp, 2014). Geckle (2016) summarized a literature review that showed how adolescents phone ownership increased from ages 14-17 at a 97% rate in the United States. Because this is a specific group of teens (adolescents) and a specific age group, then this quantitative study (Coughlan and Ryan, 2007). The method used for this review was also a systematic review, there were a total of 16 articles reviewed and there was a combination of solely quantitative and mixed-method research studies. My projected research topic is Adolescent Behaviors, I am interested in the influence of the media on an adolescent’s behavior skills (research focus). I wanted to choose a topic that really interested me, but over the past few weeks, I’ve debated with myself, because I’ve been scared, that I won’t find enough resources for any other topic. So far, I think there is a ton of information on adolescents and how the media effects/enhanced their behaviors, I figured this would be a great start. This topic is personal for me, I’ve worked with so many children, and in recent years, I’ve witness a dramatic behavior change in multiple teens, and it was all related to something that stemmed from the media.
I could start this research with the factors that affect adolescent development: physical, cognitive, social and behavioral development. According to Yale researchers, Valkenburg and Piotroswski (2017), there’s been significant changes in the media landscape, meaning there’s not just the traditional media is not the only barrier. Adolescents have their own phones, iPads, tablets, and computers, which gives them a more direct access to the media.
For the quantitative resource to support this topic, I chose

(Yoo and Ham, 2019). The second resource I found supports a qualitative study in this field, stating (Using a
qualitative
analysis approach, we found six major themes. Although entertainment media provided media role models for expected behavior in romantic relationships, it was also associated with the development of unrealistic relational expectations and perceived pressure to be in a romantic relationship.
According to these studies, adolescents with reported social media use had greater odds of increased suicidal ideation and suicide risk than those with no reported use, but these relationships were not statistically significant.
Social media use in adolescents with a psychiatric admission may be associated with the risk of self-injurious behaviors and could be a marker of impulsivity. Additional work should guide the assessment of social media use as part of a routine adolescent psychiatric history.

ABSTRACT
Female academics are more likely to be in teaching-related roles in some countries, including the USA. As a side effect of this, female-authored journal articles may tend to be more useful for students. This study assesses this hypothesis by investigating whether female first-authored research has more uptake in education than male first-authored research. Based on an analysis of Mendeley readers of articles from 2014 in five countries and 100 narrow Scopus subject categories, the results show that female-authored articles attract more student readers than male-authored articles in Spain, Turkey, the UK and USA but not India. They also attract fewer professorial readers in Spain, the UK and the USA, but not India and Turkey, and tend to be less popular with senior academics. Because the results are based on analysis of differences within narrow fields they cannot be accounted for by females working in more educationrelated disciplines. The apparent additional educational impact for female-authored research could be due to selecting more accessible micro-specialisms, however, such as health-related instruments within the instrumentation narrow field. Whatever the cause, the results suggest that citation-based research evaluations may undervalue the wider impact of female researchers. Apa format–6

On a quantitative perspective according to Lietz and Zayas (2010) “quantitative research often seeks through measurement to test hypotheses, to determine outcomes and to draw generalizable conclusions to a defined population’ (p 190). As a social work student I think it is very salient for me to understand the two perspectives so when I am conducting research I am able to explore either one or the other.
Research questions that lead to a qualitative approach usually can answer yes or no. In preparing these types of questions you can use the formats of surveys or interviews. In my week 4 proposal I chose a qualitative method and my research question stated “How does society negatively impact the progression of LGBTQ relationships?” I chose this question because I found it to be very intriguing to find out how different results can factor from this one impact. I chose a qualitative approach because I have previously read so many articles that focused on this topic and in knowing the research I previously discovered I knew there would be some research on this proposal. In collecting data I would certainly research literature reviews, interview LQGTQ couples, and conduct anonymous surveys. The qualitative method that would be most suitable for answering the research question would be feminist research. “I

FEMALE SPEAKER: I have to call the ACS worker and let her know. They're probably going to have to take the classes over again, and that's going to be tough. The classes caused the father to miss overtime at work, and they really rely on that money to make ends meet.
FEMALE SPEAKER: But they have to finish the program. They're only allowed three missed classes. There's another problem. You know the agency's been conducting a study of our performance. Well, it lowers our completion numbers. Lower numbers put our funding at risk. Our bosses start questioning the credibility of what we're trying to do here.
FEMALE SPEAKER: But I can't give the Hernandez family the post test. They won't be able to complete it.
FEMALE SPEAKER: No, that's not why I brought this up. The agency needs data to determine how effective these parenting classes are. The more attrition we have when parents don't finish the program, there's no data. No data means no support for what we're teaching or how it might benefit other populations.

Overview
This literature review provides a theoretical understanding of persistence as well as related literature on military veterans persisting in LRDPs. This body of knowledge, while helpful to researchers studying persistence, highlights the literature gap that exists concerning military veterans persisting in LRDPs. The theory framing this inquiry is Ryan and Deci’s (2017) marco-theory which leans on three basic psychological needs: autonomy, competence, and relatedness. Ryan and Deci (2017) argued emphatically that “one of psychology’s most critical questions concerns the internal or external conditions necessary to support human flourishing” (p. 80). This review of the literature demonstrates how autonomy, competence, and relatedness are factors of self-determination (i.e., persistence), and how these factors may influence military veterans to persist in LRDPs.Theoretical Framework
The role of having a theoretical framework for qualitative inquiry is significant as it influences the research process. A theoretical framework provides an “explanation of a certain set of observed phenomena in terms of a system of constructs and laws that relate these constructs to each other” (Gall, Gall, & Borg, 2007, p. 32). This literature review will examine how the phenomenon, persistence, relates to SDT constructs. Constructs, constitutively defined, are “descriptive labels that refer to phenomena of interest” (Gall et al., 2007, p. 36). The constructs (i.e., descriptive labels) this study will use to refer to persistence will connect with the three tenets of SDT–autonomy, competence, and relatedness. Autonomy, competence, and relatedness constructs may reveal commonalities in persistence, enabling researchers of persistence to predict and control this phenomenon.
Reviews of persistence literature indicate research studies conducted on persistence are prevalent and are increasing (O’Neill & Thomson, 2013). Many seminal researchers have provided theoretical frameworks on persistence for today’s researchers to test and extend. For example, Astin’s (1975) Theory of Involvement provided researchers a framework for studying persistence by emphasizing the importance of student involvement (i.e., input, environment, and outcome) in college. Tinto (1985) leaned on Astin’s groundbreaking research and is most cited by researchers conducting persistence studies (Guiffrida et al., 2013). Tinto’s (1985) Theory of Student Integration suggested the degree of academic integration and social integration predicted student persistence. Tinto (1985) explained that academic integration included grade performance, academic self-esteem, valuing academics; and social integration included social interactions with peers and faculty.

The following example uses the APA format for the journal citation:
Goldschneider, F. K., Waite, L. J., & Witsberger, C. (1986). Nonfamily living and the erosion of traditional family orientations among young adults. American Sociological Review, 51 (1), 541-554.
The authors, researchers at the Rand Corporation and Brown University, use data from the National Longitudinal Surveys of Young Women and Young Men to test their hypothesis that non-family living by young adults alters their attitudes, values, plans, and expectations, moving them away from their belief in traditional sex roles. They find their hypothesis strongly supported in young females, while the effects were fewer in studies of young males. Increasing the time away from parents before marrying increased individualism, self-sufficiency, and changes in attitudes about families. In contrast, an earlier study by Williams cited below shows no significant gender differences in sex role attitudes as a result of non-family living.

ABSTRACT
Female academics are more likely to be in teaching-related roles in some countries, including the USA. As a side effect of this, female-authored journal articles may tend to be more useful for students. This study assesses this hypothesis by investigating whether female first-authored research has more uptake in education than male first-authored research. Based on an analysis of Mendeley readers of articles from 2014 in five countries and 100 narrow Scopus subject categories, the results show that female-authored articles attract more student readers than male-authored articles in Spain, Turkey, the UK and USA but not India. They also attract fewer professorial readers in Spain, the UK and the USA, but not India and Turkey, and tend to be less popular with senior academics. Because the results are based on analysis of differences within narrow fields they cannot be accounted for by females working in more educationrelated disciplines. The apparent additional educational impact for female-authored research could be due to selecting more accessible micro-specialisms, however, such as health-related instruments within the instrumentation narrow field. Qualitative Research Questions
The purposes of quantitative and qualitative research are dissimilar. Lietz and Zayas (2010) stated “qualitative inquiry developed through a rich history of research seeking contextualized, in-depth descriptions that offer increased understanding” (p 189).Questions that inform qualitative research explore more in depth to what has been developed through time. When starting off with a qualitative research question it’s always good to use “What” or “ How” ( Developing Your Research Questions, 2016). On a quantitative perspective according to Lietz and Zayas (2010) “quantitative research often seeks through measurement to test hypotheses, to determine outcomes and to draw generalizable conclusions to a defined population’ (p 190). As a social work student I think it is very salient for me to understand the two perspectives so when I am conducting research I am able to explore either one or the other.
Research questions that lead to a qualitative approach usually can answer yes or no. In preparing these types of questions you can use the formats of surveys or interviews. In my week 4 proposal I chose a qualitative method and my research question stated “How does society negatively impact the progression of LGBTQ relationships?” I chose this question because I found it to be very intriguing to find out how different results can factor from this one impact. I chose a qualitative approach because I have previously read so many articles that focused on this topic and in knowing the research I previously discovered I knew there would be some research on this proposal. In collecting data I would certainly research literature reviews, interview LQGTQ couples, and conduct anonymous surveys. The qualitative method that would be most suitable for answering the research question would be feminist research. “I

The type of research design depends on the type of research questions asked. For this Discussion, select one of the articles from the reading list and consider several classifications of group research designs.

FEMALE SPEAKER: I have to call the ACS worker and let her know. They're probably going to have to take the classes over again, and that's going to be tough. The classes caused the father to miss overtime at work, and they really rely on that money to make ends meet.
FEMALE SPEAKER: But they have to finish the program. They're only allowed three missed classes. There's another problem. You know the agency's been conducting a study of our performance. Well, it lowers our completion numbers. Lower numbers put our funding at risk. Our bosses start questioning the credibility of what we're trying to do here.
FEMALE SPEAKER: But I can't give the Hernandez family the post test. They won't be able to complete it.
FEMALE SPEAKER: No, that's not why I brought this up. The agency needs data to determine how effective these parenting classes are. The more attrition we have when parents don't finish the program, there's no data. No data means no support for what we're teaching or how it might benefit other populations.
FEMALE SPEAKER: Maybe we should account for the attrition then. Maybe there's something we can learn from it?

Overview
This literature review provides a theoretical understanding of persistence as well as related literature on military veterans persisting in LRDPs. This body of knowledge, while helpful to researchers studying persistence, highlights the literature gap that exists concerning military veterans persisting in LRDPs. The theory framing this inquiry is Ryan and Deci’s (2017) marco-theory which leans on three basic psychological needs: autonomy, competence, and relatedness. Ryan and Deci (2017) argued emphatically that “one of psychology’s most critical questions concerns the internal or external conditions necessary to support human flourishing” (p. 80). This review of the literature demonstrates how autonomy, competence, and relatedness are factors of self-determination (i.e., persistence), and how these factors may influence military veterans to persist in LRDPs.Theoretical Framework
The role of having a theoretical framework for qualitative inquiry is significant as it influences the research process. A theoretical framework provides an “explanation of a certain set of observed phenomena in terms of a system of constructs and laws that relate these constructs to each other” (Gall, Gall, & Borg, 2007, p. 32). This literature review will examine how the phenomenon, persistence, relates to SDT constructs. Constructs, constitutively defined, are “descriptive labels that refer to phenomena of interest” (Gall et al., 2007, p. 36). The constructs (i.e., descriptive labels) this study will use to refer to persistence will connect with the three tenets of SDT–autonomy, competence, and relatedness. Autonomy, competence, and relatedness constructs may reveal commonalities in persistence, enabling researchers of persistence to predict and control this phenomenon.
Reviews of persistence literature indicate research studies conducted on persistence are prevalent and are increasing (O’Neill & Thomson, 2013). Many seminal researchers have provided theoretical frameworks on persistence for today’s researchers to test and extend. For example, Astin’s (1975) Theory of Involvement provided researchers a framework for studying persistence by emphasizing the importance of student involvement (i.e., input, environment, and outcome) in college. Tinto (1985) leaned on Astin’s groundbreaking research and is most cited by researchers conducting persistence studies (Guiffrida et al., 2013). Tinto’s (1985) Theory of Student Integration suggested the degree of academic integration and social integration predicted student persistence. Tinto (1985) explained that academic integration included grade performance, academic self-esteem, valuing academics; and social integration included social interactions with peers and faculty.

The following example uses the APA format for the journal citation:
Goldschneider, F. K., Waite, L. J., & Witsberger, C. (1986). Nonfamily living and the erosion of traditional family orientations among young adults. American Sociological Review, 51 (1), 541-554.
The authors, researchers at the Rand Corporation and Brown University, use data from the National Longitudinal Surveys of Young Women and Young Men to test their hypothesis that non-family living by young adults alters their attitudes, values, plans, and expectations, moving them away from their belief in traditional sex roles. They find their hypothesis strongly supported in young females, while the effects were fewer in studies of young males. Increasing the time away from parents before marrying increased individualism, self-sufficiency, and changes in attitudes about families. In contrast, an earlier study by Williams cited below shows no significant gender differences in sex role attitudes as a result of non-family living.

Internet-based research method
refers to any research method that uses the Internet to collect data. Most commonly, the Web has been used as the means for conducting the study, but e-mail has been used as well. The use of e-mail to collect data dates back to the 1980s while the first uses of the Web to collect data started in the mid-1990s. Whereas e-mail is principally limited to survey and questionnaire methodology, the Web, with its ability to use media, has the ability to execute full experiments and implement a wide variety of research methods. The use of the Internet offers new opportunities for access to participants allowing for larger and more diverse samples.

'What managers most often want to know about their organization's culture is how to change it. Regardless of the perspective adopted, all organization culture researchers acknowledge that top managers are powerful members of an organization's culture. And, because power grants them a disproportionate share of attention, their behavior becomes a role model for others, their words are carefully attended, and their directives are obeyed. But what is recommended to managers on the basis of culture theory differs markedly according to the perspectives adopted' (Hatch and Cunliffe, 2013: 185).
Choose two of the four perspectives and discuss their different views on organisational culture and how their advice to managers who are seeking to influence organisational culture might be different.
The four perspectives are Modernism, Critical Theory, Symbolic Interpretive and Postmodernism.

: The position that an organisms occupies in a food chain. It shows the flow of energy through an ecosystem. Energy is always lost from one trophic level to the next.
· Producers - autotrophic organisms using solar or chemical energy to produce all the organic nutrients for an ecosystem.
· Consumers - heterotrophic organisms that cannot make their own food. They get energy from the chemical bonds in the nutrients they eat.
· Primary consumers (herbivores) - eat primary producers (plants).
o Conversion efficiency: only 10 to 20 percent of the available energy passes from producers to primary consumers.
· Secondary consumers (carnivores) - eat primary consumers (herbivores).
o Conversion efficiency: only 5 to 10 percent of the available energy passes from primary consumers to secondary consumers.
· Tertiary consumers (carnivores) - eat secondary consumers (carnivores).
o The conversion efficiency for tertiary consumers may be as low as 1%.

The purpose or goal of the essay was to explain what the writer overcame during the current term to help him get better. What seem to be a good direction is explaining something that you have overcome this semester during the course. What you took from this was more than an academic challenge, it was the beginning of a personal growth. My overall impression of what you have as your draft is good job, stay on focus with this. The aspects you have touched on with your writing has been ethos, pathos, and kairo. Although you limited help from others, it was time you moved away from that. I would incorporate more about class and maybe throughout your understanding the first few weeks before asking for help. What led you to finally opening up. Give a few examples in your intro of pride in your academics before this that went well and others that didn’t. I’ve read your assignments assignment last week and this has a stronger feel to it. I would highly recommend that each paragraph you ask yourself why? Then from that answer within you expand on it and tie it in with academics.
To be more reflective in your essay I would go back to what was your reasoning for not asking for help in the past, when did you know it was time to let that go, and how will this help you academically from now on.

constantly with learning and experience and that this takes place throughout our lives.
Does this have implications for students' motivation and learning? It certainly does. In my
research in collaboration with my graduate students, we have shown that what students believe about
their brains — whether they see their intelligence as something that's fixed or

something that can grow and change — has profound effects on their motivation, learning, and school
achievement (Dweck, 2006). These different beliefs, or mindsets, create different psychological
worlds: one in which students are afraid of challenges and devastated by setbacks, and one in which
students relish challenges and are resilient in the face of setbacks.
How do these mindsets work? How are the mindsets communicated to students? And, most important, can
they be changed? As we answer these questions, you will understand why so many students do not
achieve to their potential, why so many bright students stop working when school becomes
challenging, and why stereotypes have such profound effects on students' achievement. You will also
learn how praise can have a negative effect on students' mindsets, harming their motivation to
learn.
Mindsets and Achievement
Many students believe that intelligence is fixed, that each person has a certain amount and that's
that. We call this a fixed mindset, and, as you will see, students with this mindset worry about
how much of this fixed intelligence they possess. A fixed mindset makes challenges threatening for
students (because they believe that their fixed ability may not be up to the task) and it makes
mistakes and failures demoralizing (because they believe that such setbacks reflect badly on their
level of fixed intelligence).

The Reason Why Excelsior College is my Choice
Am I too old to go back to college? This is a question I have posed to myself and my family for almost a year while I researched colleges to attend. I knew I wanted to go back to school so that I could get an associate’s degree in nursing. I already went the vocational school route in order to gain my licensed practical nursing diploma and took my state boards to obtain my license so I need the associate’s degree in order to take the NYS Boards to obtain my registered nursing license. I have to have both hands-on nursing classes as well as regular classes such as English and Science along with a few others. I knew I really did not want to go to a regular school if it could be helped because I like the ability to be similar to your peers in an online environment as you really don’t know the ages of your classmates. It does not matter if they are young or old; they just want to do the same thing as you: learn.
The search was on to either find an online school that had both types of classes I would need or to take my regular classes in an online setting and then transfer to a brick and mortar school to take my hands on classes. Well I narrowed my choice to Excelsior College because they had a nursing degree program but I was still not sure if I wanted to fully take all of my courses here. After researching further, I realized that I would not be able to obtain financial aid for my nursing degree if I took it solely through Excelsior. I did find a local school around me that would allow me to take just my hands-on classes through them. I would just need to make sure to take all the necessary regular classes first here at Excelsior.
Well, I had made my decision on how I would proceed so I filled out the online application and paid my non-refundable application fee. I waited with baited breath to find out if I would be accepted or not because this is going to determine my immediate future and the future of my family. I breathed such a sigh of relief when I received the welcome email. After speaking with my admissions counselor and the registers office in great lengths, I realized I would have to matriculate into the liberal arts program in order to gain financial aid. I got a list of the courses I needed to take to be able to transfer into the local school and waited to hear back from my academic advisor who was still being assigned to me.
After a telephone call with my academic advisor, it was determined that I was only allowed to take 9 credits for the Spring semester so I ended up taking this fifteen week English course, PSY 101, and PSY 235 in the Spring II section because I did not have any prior degree credits. This Dissertation explores the particular circumstances of Mirzapur, a region located in the
core of India. Mirzapur, with its varied terrains and abundant biodiversity, offers an optimal
environment for investigating the changes in vegetation cover dynamics. Our study utilizes
advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote sensing to
analyze the transformations that have taken place over the course of a decade.
The complex relationship between human activities and the environment has been the focus
of extensive research and worry. As the global community grapples with swift urbanization,
population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and
cover support policymakers and scientists in making well-informed decisions, as alterations in
these patterns indicate shifts in economic and social conditions. Monitoring such changes with the
help of Advanced technologies like Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems is

Quantitative data were collected by “New Generation Characteristics” Scale which was created, applied and was analyzed. Then, 10 students, who showed the characteristics of Generation-Z were determined by the scale. The qualitative data of the study were also collected by an interview form.
