The concept of the film is a horror about a young girl named Adena Allison who died in a school fire 40 years ago. Now, children have started disappearing in the abandoned school building where rumors say it is haunted. Detective Davison is called in to investigate the disappearances and try to find out what exactly happened on the night of the fire. The opening sequence will tell the story from a third person perspective inside the building, showing glimpses of the recurring disappearances. It will feature both the dead girl Adena from 40 years ago and a group of boys in the present who are dared to enter the "haunted" building. The concept of the film is a horror about a young girl that haunts the building she
was buried in when it was burnt down with her inside. 40 years on from the
incident, people were last seen entering the building have went missing, which
brings the main character, a detective with an alcohol addiction, into the story;
called in to find out where these bodies are going and what’s behind it.

Performance and Narrative
The story will be told from a third person view inside the building, showing a
glimpse of the recurring disappearances. The first part of the film will focus on
the dead girl; the second will focus on the group of children using their
perspective to scare the audience. The boys will act as a normal group of friends
teasing one by making him go into a ‘haunted building’ so one boy will act
frightened at the beginning while the others will act tough and try scare him
until Adena finds them.
Synopsis
The story revolves around the mysterious death of Adena Allison, who died in a
school/college fire. 40 years later, children start disappearing round the
abandoned school, as they are trespassing cause they have heard haunted
rumors. Detective Davison sets out to try and find out what exactly happened on
that night and where these bodies are going.

4. Camera and editing
We will use a mix of shots and flash between the to give the effect that the dead
girl is ‘glitching’. We will use this type of effect for the flashbacks, possibly using
a sepia filter to distinguish between past and present. It will have many shots
such as medium, close up, high/low angle, wide and establishing. It will also
feature a few techniques such as dolly, pan, zoom and focus.
Lighting
Low-key lighting in the abandoned building. Thunder and lightning created by
strong lights flashing outside of the window, possibly to shock the audience (or
background character (s)) and to go to the flashbacks. Dark room lit by lightning,
revealing girl in corner.
Music and sound effects
There will be noises that can be heard to show creepy happenings in the
building, which will add to the overall effect and mood of the scene. Sound effects
from sources such as garage band. Music made using piano recorded in college
studio.
Props and costumes
Present day clothing
The costume/makeup of the character Adena will tell a part of the story,
using burns and scars for make up and uniform which will be burnt for
scenes after her death letting the audience figure out what happened,
The boy will were casual clothing (jeans, t-shirt, hoody).
Flashback clothing
Adena will be dressed in a school uniform to look like a normal student,
The teacher will be wearing a suit,
Extras will also have uniforms to be other students.
