This document discusses the importance of preparing for judgment and doing our duty to God. It notes that we will all be judged according to God's commands and what is in our hearts. To fear God, we must know His power and justice, keep His commands through faith in Christ, and love both God and our neighbors. The judgment will come unexpectedly, so we must start doing our duty now by believing, repenting, confessing, and being baptized in order to be saved.

The Judgment
• It comes down to Ecclesiastes 12:13-14
• Let us hear the conclusion of the whole
matter: Fear God, and keep his
commandments: for this is the whole
duty of man. For God shall bring every
work into judgment, with every secret
thing, whether it be good, or whether it be
evil.
• How can we fear God?

3. Fear God!
Know That…
• God is powerful! Mt. 28:19
• God is just. Rev. 15:3
• God is jealous. Deut 4:24; 6:15
• Reverence and fear is required so we may
serve Him acceptably. Hebrews 12:28-29
• It is right to fear God Mt. 10:28
These things help us to fear God.

4. Keep His Commands!
• We need to keep all of His commands for us
today. They are found in the New Law.
Mt. 28:20
• They are not burdensome. 1 John 5:2-3
• It is how we prove our love to God. Jn. 14:15
• The gospel is God’s power unto
salvation for us to obey.
Rom.1:16-17; 10:14-17

5. Judgment
• Will come to all… Jn. 5:28-29; 1 Thes.
4:13-18; 2 Tim. 4:1
• We’ll be judged by what Jesus
commanded. Jn. 5:22; 12:48
• Judged by what we say… Mt. 12:36
• Judged according to whatever we have
done. 2 Cor. 5:10
• This day shall come as a thief in the
night. 1 Thes. 5:2

6. Your Duty To God…
• Also is to love Him with your all! Mk. 12:30
• And to love your neighbor as yourself. v.31
• We shall become a servant of the Lord.
– Eph. 6:6-7 “not with eyeservice, as men-
pleasers, but as bondservants of Christ, doing
the will of God from the heart, with goodwill
doing service, as to the Lord,
and not to men”
