Presentation given by Anne Becker, Pathways Consulting Group Inc
Presented at Emerging Leaders' May 26th, 2011 Leadership London event; Visioning: Spending Time in the Future.
When we hear the phrase "Life After Death", we mediately get the idea of a cosmic heaven. What if Jesus was impressing on us the cycle of life and death and the power of an eternal creation?
The document is a response to someone saying they feel like a mistake and that no one loves them. It summarizes that:
1) While the person's parents may not have planned them, God did - he knew them and planned their life long before they were born.
2) God specifically created them, determined where and when they would be born, and made no mistakes.
3) God created them because he loves them and had them in mind even before the world was created.
This document discusses breaking the chains of worry and fear. It defines worry as an over-anxious concern about the future that prevents fulfilling current responsibilities, and says it is a sin. Fear can be right or sinful. Sinful fear proceeds from unbelief, attributes more power to things than God allows, ascribes inconsistent characteristics to God, fears what God forbids, and is rooted in selfishness rather than love. The document provides ways to deal with worry and fear, including replacing them with the fear of God, identifying underlying idols, replacing fear with love, and viewing fearful situations as opportunities for growth.
This document discusses how God chooses unlikely people to accomplish His purposes. It provides examples from the Bible of David, who was the unlikely choice to be king despite his small stature; Gideon, who was reluctant to be a warrior but was chosen by God; and Rahab, a former prostitute who demonstrated faith in God and protected the Israelite spies. The overall message is that God qualifies and uses people not based on human standards of wisdom, influence or status, but based on their faith and willingness to obey Him.
The Fruit of the Spirit is Self-ControlDave Stewart
The final fruit of the spirit is self-control, which means that we are to have control over our bodies and minds. The apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 9 reminded us that we must be like athletes.
The document discusses the "Law of the Lid", which states that a leader's abilities determine the effectiveness of both themselves and their organization. It notes that an organization will never exceed its leaders' capabilities, and that weaker leadership imposes a lower limit on potential. The document uses Ray Kroc and the McDonald brothers to illustrate this principle, explaining how Kroc was able to massively expand McDonald's through his leadership whereas the brothers struggled with only 15 investors. It emphasizes that seeking opportunities to improve leadership and organizational structures allows lifting the "lid" of what is possible.
This document discusses obstacles and how to manage them. It begins by defining an obstacle as something that stands in the way of progress. It then explores how individuals define obstacles personally and discusses common obstacles people may face. The document presents exercises for identifying daily obstacles and discusses methods for overcoming obstacles, such as using the five Ps: purpose, pride, patience, persistence, and perspective. It emphasizes that managing obstacles daily determines whether one makes progress or remains stagnant. The key message is that the most difficult obstacles are often self-imposed.

"The 20 sessions of this seminar present 26 Biblical guidelines for making good decisions in life. The importance of understanding the distinction between God's sovereign will and God's moral will is presented and the means that God uses to direct our path is explained." The content is all theirs, I just put it in a format for my own learning and am sharing it.
This document discusses spiritual maturity and growing up in Christ. It defines spiritual maturity as having an intense relationship with God that is the focus of one's life. True maturity is measured by fruitfulness and character, not titles, positions or longevity in church. The document outlines stages of spiritual growth from salvation to perfect discipleship and reproduction. It encourages readers to move from being fed milk (basic doctrines) to eating solid spiritual food like meat, which requires more processing and understanding. Signs of maturity include knowing Christ, living separate from the world, and mentoring other believers. Readers are challenged to continually pursue growth through prayer, fasting, scripture study and holy living.
John 3:1-5. A New Life In Christ. In the new life we have been born again. In the new life we are a new creation. In the new life we crucify the flesh with its passions and desires. In the new life we are transformed by the renewing of our minds. In the new life we are renewed by the Holy Spirit. In the new life we are dead to sin but alive to God. In the new life we are washed from our sins. in the new life we put to death the old man and put on the new man. In the new life we died and our life is hidden with Christ in God. In the new life we were brought back from death in sin.
The document discusses how decisions made early in life can influence one's future in many areas such as work, finances, social life, family, and lifestyle. It notes that choices now can expand, limit, or prevent future options and talks about topics like credit card debt, marriage, children, and financial responsibilities. The overall message is that thinking carefully about one's goals and desires for the future is important before making commitments to others.
This document discusses fulfilling God's purpose for our lives. It begins by defining key terms like "fulfill" and "God's purpose" which it says is our reason for existence. The objective is to empower people to reach their full potential and be all God destined them to be. It argues we were not created to fulfill our own purposes but God's, and fulfillment comes from choosing God's purpose over self. It provides dimensions like spirituality, relationships and career to discover one's purpose. It concludes that fulfillment is found internally by following God's direction.
This document discusses seven powers that can provide unlimited potential: passion, belief, strategy, clarity of values, energy, bonding power, and communication mastery. For each power, it provides a brief definition and suggests action items for cultivating that power, such as identifying one's true passion, believing in one's ability to succeed, developing a clear strategy, spending time with supportive people, and communicating in a solution-oriented way. The overall message is that fully developing these seven powers can help unlock one's true potential.
God tests the faith of those he intends to use. The document discusses how God tested the faith of biblical figures like Noah, Abraham, and Moses through impossible tasks, major changes, delayed promises, unsolvable problems, senseless tragedies, and prolonged pain. Each test was an opportunity for their faith and endurance to grow. The lessons are that faith is believing without seeing, obeying without understanding, and persisting even when it's difficult.
This document discusses priorities and argues that God should be the highest priority according to the Bible. It begins by asking the reader to rank their priorities of family, self, God, and other people. It then defines priority as something that is of first importance or higher value. The document explains that the Bible provides the answer for what should be priority, calling it the "book of priorities." It gives three reasons from the Bible why God should be the priority: 1) God is the beginning of everything, 2) God is sovereign over everything, and 3) God is the end of everything. It concludes by urging the reader to make God their only priority in everything from beginning to end.
1) The document discusses that people are driven by different things like guilt, worry, fear, anger, materialism, and the need for approval. However, true purpose and significance comes from living for God.
2) It explains that there are three levels of life: survival, success, and significance, with significance occurring when one knows their purpose for life.
3) The overall message is that people were created by God for His pleasure and purpose, not for their own fulfillment or happiness, and should focus on living for God rather than themselves.
The document discusses the importance of spiritual growth and maturity. It outlines different stages of spiritual development using the analogy of an infant, child, teenager, and mature adult. Each stage is characterized by certain behaviors and mindsets. The goal is to progress from basic understanding to discernment, submission to authority, and mentoring others through mature character and intimacy with God.
Brief discussion about the Third Heaven. Who are in the Third Heaven. Ministry of angels. Our place in heaven.
Final meeting of the Heavens and its hosts seminar.
The document is a sermon about finding people with hearts like God's own heart. It discusses how David was a man after God's own heart who did God's will. It says God looks for people with compassion who are faithful in small responsibilities. The sermon encourages readers to make their cell groups people with hearts for God by inspiring others. It believes God's church can change the world by developing hearts like His. In conclusion, it says LifeClass is an opportunity to meet God and be restored through finding provision and changing with God.
What do you hope for? Do you hope for a new job? A new relationship? A new adventure in life? A new smartphone? But first let me ask you this question, what is hope?
Hope looks at the future. You are hoping because there is something to look forward to. Hope is a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen. Singles individual might hope in their work to achieve their goals and dream. Or they might hope for a relationship where they would receive the love they need. These can be the wrong anchors or sources of our hope.
Hebrews 12:2 says keep your eyes on Jesus who perfects our faith. It is actually also saying that we are to hope in God. Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see. Wherever there is full assurance of hope, there is faith. Faith is the full assurance of hope. Hope is part of Faith. Therefore, in Hebrews 12 God is the one who initiates, He is the author or source of our faith and He is the one who is the source of our hope. He is the one we are to hope for because he will be one who will make what we hope for come into a reality. Look at what Romans 15:13 says also.
Romans 15:13 - May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.
God of hope means God is the source of hope. I like how its translated in the NLT version, it says this: “God, the source of hope, will.” Hope here in Greek is elpis meaning expectation, trust, confidence and expectation of what is sure or certain. We can now relate this to God the source of hope as God our source of confidence as we expect something to be sure or certain
That’s why I would like to define hope as CONFIDENCE IN THE FUTURE ANCHORED ON GOD WITH GREAT EXPECTATIONS
Great Expectations because God can do more than what we could think of our imagine and because we expect it to actually happen. As one famous preacher said, biblical hope is just not a desire but it expects it to happen
Setting goals is important for employees and businesses to succeed. There are two parts to being a successful business leader: envisioning dreams and plans for the future, and ensuring those plans become reality through goal-setting and achievement. Goals should be SMART - specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, and timed. Specific goals provide clarity and motivation, measurable goals allow progress tracking, achievable goals are challenging but not impossible, realistic goals are in line with one's values and purpose, and setting deadlines provides motivation to work towards accomplishing goals.
The document outlines the biblical conditions for success according to Joshua 1:6-8. It discusses six conditions: 1) being strong through faith in God's might. 2) having courage through God's strengthening. 3) obeying God's commandments and not turning to other gods. 4) consistency by not turning from God's ways. 5) dedication to not letting God's word depart from one's mouth. 6) devotion through meditating on God's word day and night. Supporting passages from the Bible are provided under each condition.
The document discusses assurance of salvation and addresses common fears and misconceptions about it. It states that some have false assurance due to a false gospel, while others lack assurance due to not understanding grace or that Christ paid the full price for sins. True assurance comes from understanding we are saved by grace alone, Christ bore our sins, and God promises eternal life to those who believe in his Son. [/SUMMARY]
Spiritual gifts are attributes given by the Holy Spirit to members of the Body of Christ to help them serve. They are discovered through spiritual gifts tests and exploring areas of passion. All believers have the fruit of the spirit developed through their walk with God, while spiritual gifts are functions used in service. Believers should develop their gifts through serving, embrace their gifts as valuable, and look for opportunities both inside and outside of church to use their gifts seven days a week. Functioning in their gifts allows Christians to play an important role in building up the church and glorifying God.
“Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate”. - C.G Jung
Self-discovery is simply finding or uncovering your own individuality in order to fulfil God’s purpose for your life.
As every electronic gadget is created to meet a specific need, so likewise is every human on the surface of the earth. God has created us to fill a particular spot, to dominate it with something he has deposited in us.
That is why this e-book is packaged to take you briefly on a journey of self-discovery, and I believe that by the time you will be concluding this journey, you will have an understanding God’s original plan for you, who you are and why you are created. You will begin to manifest excellence in your life.
Enjoy!
Eagles live the longest of all birds, up to 70 years. However, in its 40th year an eagle loses its powerful grip, strong hold, and ability to fly high due to old age. Rather than die, the eagle chooses to change, which results in an extended lifespan of 30 more years. The eagle avoids problems by flying above clouds, and challenges should be stepping stones to success, not destruction, as changing one's attitude makes all the difference.
The document provides guidance on developing a personal vision statement by reflecting on different dimensions of one's life, including physical, spiritual, work/career, family, social relationships, financial security, mental improvement, and fun. It prompts the reader to consider important goals for each dimension, as well as questions about their values, strengths, regrets, and weaknesses to guide thoughts around crafting a vision statement.

Appreciative Inquiry (AI) is a strengths-based approach to organizational change that focuses on identifying what works well and envisioning positive potential. It involves four phases - Discovery, Dream, Design, and Destiny. In the Discovery phase, AI seeks to understand an organization's core strengths and values by asking questions about past successes. The Dream phase involves envisioning positive potential and possibilities for the future. Design and Destiny focus on co-creating innovative plans and realizing the envisioned future state. The key principles of AI are that what we focus on becomes our reality, and positive dialogue can accelerate beneficial change by nurturing hope and building on strengths.
The Dream phase involves envisioning a preferred future. Design develops innovative strategies and plans to realize that vision. Destiny implements those plans to accelerate change and realize an organization's dreams. The core assumption of AI is that what we focus on becomes our reality, so focusing on strengths nurtures positive change.

Richard met with the facilitator ten years after participating in a leadership program. At the time of the program, Richard felt his career was stalled due to lack of confidence, but the insights from the Stretch Zone sparked his transition to executive leadership. The Stretch Zone helped Richard understand his self-limiting barriers and channel his energy in a constructive way to build authentic confidence from within. Eight years later, Richard was able to step fully through his fears when presenting to executives. The Stretch Zone enables individuals and organizations to unlock potential by removing internal barriers rather than relying on superficial confidence.
This document provides an introduction to Appreciative Inquiry (AI), a strengths-based approach to organizational change. It outlines the genesis of AI and its key founders. The core of AI involves a 4 or 5 stage process: Discovery, Dream, Design, and Destiny/Delivery. In the Discovery stage, interviews focus on identifying what works best in the organization. The Dream stage envisions positive possibilities and develops provocative propositions. The Design stage addresses how to align systems to fulfill the dreams. Destiny focuses on sustaining momentum through innovation and building AI competencies in the organization. AI is grounded in 5 principles and can be effectively used for coaching by focusing on strengths and small positive actions.
Appreciative Inquiry (AI) is a strengths-based approach that focuses on what works well within an organization rather than focusing on problems or weaknesses. It involves discovering an organization's positive core, envisioning what could be, innovating what should be, and sustaining what will be through intentional actions. The 4-D cycle of AI includes Discovery, Dream, Design, and Destiny phases to understand an organization's strengths and create positive change.
This document summarizes a workshop on Appreciative Inquiry that was held for the Sunrise School Division administrative team. The workshop covered the principles and process of Appreciative Inquiry, including defining what it is, its 4 phases (Discovery, Dream, Design, Destiny), and examples of how it has been used in the Vancouver School Board. Participants engaged in activities to share inspiring experiences, imagine future possibilities for education, and make recommendations to realize their dreams. The goal was to explore how an appreciative approach could be applied in their schools.
Culture Slides Breaking The Chains Of Culture Building Trust In Individua...guesta4eeb5
This set of slides covers the material in the book Breaking the Chains of Culture - Building Trust in Individuals, Teams, and Organziations. The book was written by George Vukotich, Ph.D.
Coaching is helping others achieve their goals, build skills, and produce results for an organization. Coaches are trusted advisors who provide guidance, support, and feedback. Effective coaching involves setting goals, discussing reality, exploring options, and agreeing on next steps. Coaches must be enthusiastic, supportive, and goal-oriented as they help others improve.
Principles over processes creating lasting change in your organisationZia Malik
Guiding an organisation through an agile transformation is difficult, enabling it to change, almost impossible. Many agile coaches rely on a variety of scaling frameworks that focus on specific processes and practices across the agile transformation. Such an approach can only affect the climate of the organisation but rarely the deeper aspects of the culture or organisational personality to enable lasting change. We need more of a principles-based approach that enables organisations to take ownership and make changes that are created for its context. In this way, we can apply agile principles to achieve agility across the entire domain of the organisation.
In this workshop, Zia will share a breakdown of each of the 10 principles and how as coaches you can apply these as part of your agile transformation.
Appreciative Inquiry is an organizational development approach that focuses on identifying what is working well within an organization and amplifying it, rather than focusing on problems. It involves systematically discovering an organization's strengths and successes through the "4-D" cycle of Discovery, Dream, Design, and Destiny. The goal is to envision a preferred future and implement innovative changes that move the organization closer to that vision, grounded in what has worked well in the past. Appreciative Inquiry transforms negative dialogue into positive, optimistic discussions that strengthen relationships and resilience within organizations.

Principles over Processes: Lasting Change in your Agile Transformation by Zia...Agile ME
Guiding an organisation through an Agile transformation is difficult, enabling it to change, almost impossible. Many Agile coaches rely on a variety of scaling frameworks that focus on specific processes and practices across the Agile transformation. Such an approach can only affect the climate of the organisation but rarely the deeper aspects of the culture or organisational personality to enable lasting change.
We need more of a principles-based approach that enables the organisations to take ownership and make changes that are created for its context. In this way, we can apply Agile principles to achieve agility across the entire domain of the organisation.
In this workshop, I’ll share with you the 10 principles of enterprise agility and walk you through how these principles can make a difference to your enterprise transformation and what every agile coach should be doing to help apply these principles in any setting, for any organisation to flourish.

LAND USE LAND COVER AND NDVI OF MIRZAPUR DISTRICT, UPRAHUL
This Dissertation explores the particular circumstances of Mirzapur, a region located in the
core of India. Mirzapur, with its varied terrains and abundant biodiversity, offers an optimal
environment for investigating the changes in vegetation cover dynamics. Our study utilizes
advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote sensing to
analyze the transformations that have taken place over the course of a decade.
The complex relationship between human activities and the environment has been the focus
of extensive research and worry. As the global community grapples with swift urbanization,
population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and
cover support policymakers and scientists in making well-informed decisions, as alterations in
these patterns indicate shifts in economic and social conditions. Monitoring such changes with the
help of Advanced technologies like Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems is
crucial for coordinated efforts across different administrative levels. Advanced technologies like

Changes in vegetation cover refer to variations in the distribution, composition, and overall
structure of plant communities across different temporal and spatial scales. These changes can
occur natural.
