Founded by Arne Glimcher in 1960, the Pace
Gallery in Boston has hosted contemporary art for
more than 50 years. The pieces are works by
esteemed international artists of the 20th century,
with many items coming from the estates of
influential patrons.
3. The gallery has a global footprint with 10 locations in
various parts of the world, including London, Beijing,
Hong Kong, California, and Paris. In keeping with its
contemporary focus, Pace has chosen the year 2016
to launch its new program, Part Art + Technology,
which deals with the convergence of technology and
art.
Pace’s past exhibits include Lee Ufan’s solo exhibition
at the 15C Entertainment Building in Hong Kong from
late 2015 to early 2016. The museum also hosted an
exhibition at Pace London that featured works by John
Hoyland, Sir Anthony Caro, and Kenneth Nolan from
late 2015 to early 2016.
